When you break into your characteristic uncontrollable giggly laugh mixed with words, it lights me up instantly, for example in the part where Snape was quizzing Harry in Potions. I laughed so much at your improv (Ron said don't look at me, you're the one with the scar on your forehead!) that I almost started crying! Your rendition of the sorting hat song was perfect, darling! 👏👏👏

2023-08-08 13:48:35 +0000 UTCI love these book reading sessions. It’s interesting to see that being spoiled by the movies before reading the books has some advantages. In the same way that I brought context from the books to the movies, making them more enjoyable I think, you’re able to bring context from the movies to your first read through of the books, making many moments carry more weight than they would if you didn’t already know and love the characters. Those illustrated editions are beautiful and I can’t imagine the work involved by Jim Kay when he got to books 4 and 5.
