Cartoon question - There was a cartoon character based on Peter Lorre (the actor you called “chameleon”). The cartoon character was a mad scientist in a 1946 Bugs Bunny cartoon, “Hair-Raising Hare.” While it was based on Peter Lorre, it was probably voiced by Mel Blanc who did many voices and impersonations in Looney Tunes cartoons.
