The rest of the song is his regret. I think, just me, the rest is symbolism. My favorite part is the old guy with broken teeth who seemed to be saying, "Yeah, everything gets screwed up." Hey, I'm an old guy with broken teeth! And sometimes, I'm that guy...sometimes...I don't listen to me.
