Completely agree, Firefox is supposed to be a privacy respecting app, has been for a long time. When any company or app developer starts doing things on the quiet, or without being transparent, that always makes me worry about what original ideas they had, compared to what ideas they have now. Usually, this only happens when upper-level management changes. Also completely agree that they need to produce income, even if it is barely enough to operate, they still need money. But they need to be more transparent about that and they need to be more transparent about what they change and when they change it otherwise they are just acting like a baby Google.

Wait so the CTO thinks that pop-up are user hostile but unauthorised data collection isnโ€™t ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ’€. Iโ€™ve been considering switching to Firefox recently but with stunts like this, Iโ€™m slowly losing reasons why I should drop Brave.
