Going back home, social networks, and new video ideas - Patroncast S02E25

Hey everyone!

I hope you're all doing ok! I'm now back in my own flat, after the renovation work was completed (almost), and so here is episode 25 of the patroncast!

In this one, I talk about:

- 00:48 The renovations, going back home, working away from home, and the channel

- 10:18 Cutting back on social networks, especially Twitter

- 15:35 A few new topic ideas, and how to make them interesting

And here are a couple of pictures of what the flat looks like for now (still needs a few things done, but it's getting there)!

I hope you enjoy listening to it,

Best,

Nick

Comments

Everytime I look at reddit, it's also full of weird comments, and personal insults, but maybe I'm not looking in the right place!

The Linux Experiment

I mean i found reddit to be mostly better in sense of toxicity, and you can manage your subreddit which makes for communities more focused

Yeah, no matter your personal opinions, people can't be convinced anymore of anything, don't listen to facts, from one side or the other, so it's not a conversation, it's a duel, and that's exhausting!

The Linux Experiment

Twitter is just not a very nice place, no matter if you're politically more on the right (like me) out politically more to the left. Everyone just gets offended somehow. The things that happen in America for example: all I see is extreme opinions and the people, like me, who are kinda in the middle, are attacked by both sides. I think your decision is a wise one: don't waste your time and mental energy on sensitive political issues online πŸ‘
