We raised $604.45, $538.77 from Patreon, and $65.68 from PayPal. This puts us at $605.72 toward our $2500 goal for Milestone #5.
I will update the websites and points this weekend, as I plan on doing website and server upgrades then.
GearCity: 2nd Gear
Work is progressing on Milestone #4. I'm trying to tackle the largest ticket, "Complete Factory And Production Redesign," first. My goal was to finish the AI side of this bounty by the weekend, but I missed that date. I'm almost done with that now, but there are still some bugs and balancing to work out. This puts me at roughly a third of the way done with the new system after approximately 2 weeks.
Once I finish this bounty, I will switch to AeroMogul for a week or two to keep myself fresh with the code. Then bounce back and finish the remaining bounties.
Going forward, I will suspend fundraising upon reaching milestones until completion. Without the artwork component, the FBS takes too much time from AeroMogul. Unfortunately, the bounties do not justify the opportunity costs. With the rate we're fundraising and the amount of discounted bounties, I'll likely finish this milestone when the next one starts.
AeroMogul
I left off having completed the AI code to determine if an AI-controlled airline needed new aircraft. They also determine how many aircraft and the basic criteria for the purchase. I need to implement the code to determine which aircraft to purchase. Likewise, I will work on this as soon as I complete GearCity: 2nd Gear Bounty #19 before the code becomes too fuzzy in my mind. Then bounce back to GC and complete the remaining bounties for Milestone #5.
Beyond that, I must implement the query system to time new aircraft, slot negotiations, and creating routes. At that point, most of the internal/AI work I need for the First Prototype is done, and I can start linking player UI to these new systems.
