It’s been two months, and this is our first progress update.
We recently finished our first full estimate of the assets (art, backgrounds, etc.) we’ll need for the upcoming build. The list is big, but we’ve planned carefully. We added a 10% time buffer for unexpected work, and another 20% buffer in case we decide to swap in extra or alternative backgrounds.
This approach helps us stay focused and avoid over-promising. In simple terms, we’re building lean. That means we’re starting small with only the must-have items. If we have time later, we’ll add the nice-to-have extras.
Right now, everything is labelled must-haves, later this week we will take those must-haves and move some to nice-to-have and bring our estimates inside scope.
By the end of this week, I expect we’ll be over 50% finished with the core assets. Once we hit that point, we move to checkpoint 2 and are working towards checkpoint 3 (90% asset complete).
If you’re someone who likes progress bars, think of this as a compromise that gives you transparency without locking us into unrealistic deadlines, or content expectations.
Thanks again for your support.
