As many of you already know, the next major update for Something Unlimited is set to be released on September 30th. The primary focus of the update is the yacht event, which will be the first event accessible from the Tower. This update is the culmination of over a year of planning and will feature 20+ new backgrounds alongside 30+ new scene images.
The event is about 50% larger than the prison. To put that into perspective, this is the prison event’s flow chart:

The yacht event is designed in a way where your decisions make a difference in the content you wind up experiencing, encouraging multiple playthroughs. To help facilitate this, the yacht event is designed to be infinitely replayable on the same save file by simply visiting the Tower and restarting it whenever you desire.
2.1.9+
The yacht event is a long time in the making and a lot of development changes/decisions were made during its development that won’t take effect until the next update – i.e. 2.1.9. There may be a few touch-ups and bug fixes done outside of the yacht event, but we want to reiterate that 2.1.9 will be the first of what we’re calling “completion updates”, which will focus on completing the planned content for heroines, henchwomen and villainesses who’re currently in the game.
In 2.1.9 we’re going to focus on completing Terra’s content – which means everything from completing her cell path to her exhibition bordello scene. We’ll of course have more information as Sunset dives into the update proper in the coming months.
We hope you all are as excited about the upcoming update as we are! We’re happy to answer any and all questions in the comments below and in Discord as time permits, although we of course won’t be answering spoiler-centric inquiries.

There have definitely been bugs, but playing on new saves I don't remember any that would have prevented the brothel or prison content from starting up.

2018-09-24 19:01:36 +0000 UTCEach update is worked on up to the day of release, so there's no way for us to give exact figures like that. That's why we also use conservative estimates for the backgrounds and scene images, like 20+ and 30+. Also, playtime varies from person to person.
