2023-06-04 09:59:59 +0000 UTCOkay, you got me. Absolutely grinned seeing Foxtrot. My family was weirdly obsessed with Foxtrot growing up and we had all the book collections. Cute cameo! Fun fact: when I originally discovered your comics through a randomly suggested one on Instagram it gave me major Foxtrot vibes and I just loved it. I read all of them since then. I don’t want to beat a dead horse about the art style - I don’t plan to quit reading a good comic just because the art style changed, and it’s not drastic, but I might have to back up for a while because Kevin’s expressions give me the creeps bad. Especially the squinting ones. Not sure if it’s the lack of eyebrows on Kevin or the general uncanny ness of the more detailed shading/highlighting with the cartoony exaggerated expressions, but it’s setting off a sensor in my brain like an alarm. I know a change of style like this must be for a reason. If nothing else just because it feels more right to you. Whatever keeps the job interesting! All things get too familiar after a time, and you get tired of feeling like it’s the same thing every day. I hope shaking things up has really helped you and kept you motivated! I really enjoy the comics and always read the newest one as soon as I get the email. Keep making art that makes you happy, and we’ll always appreciate that you keep sharing the laughs with us!
