Heads Up Report.
Added 2016-03-29 14:33:41 +0000 UTCMuch has changed in the last month for us over here. We gave you guys SU earlier this month which brought in upwards of 50 new patrons. We had plans to manage development in a way where we could focus on the development of POK. Well as you move forward you find bottlenecks and roadblocks and we really want to streamline our delivery of our games. POK is in a super pre-alpha state and is several months away from any significant content. On the other hand we have a game in SU that is nearing post-production. We also have Bend or Break just begging to get finished or expanded slightly as it would take little to no work to make an amazing addition to it (it has been d/l like 100k+ times!, and still is our most popular Tumblr page 40% of all are Tumblr traffic). So where does all this all lead? It all leads to our website in the future, and we want to continue development on projects that we can host on our own!

Ok here is goes, we will be giving you guys a release every month as usual. Some releases will be emailed; others will be hosted on Patreon. We are going to gauge the development, and progress week by week to see what game will provide you with the most content. We want to provide you with content rich releases and we want to get away from really alpha releases. This means games like POK can get more weeks under it before you see it again, or SU can be worked on and continued and given the attention it deserves also. Releases will no longer always happen on the last day of the month, they will happen when that project is ready (during the slated month). There will always be a project every month. Lastly the biggest thing we are missing is the community we had before Jan.6 and we want that back! So there will be a weekly update regarding what is going on and what we are working on, discussions on the games (DMCA can’t stop us from talking about it). Higher level tiers will be slowly molded by you guys, I will be trying a bunch of things and gauging your interest (polls, insider info,..etc). Some of the games we are developing are slated for public release but you guys will get exclusive early access.
Status of games in progress:
SU: we feel confident the meta-bordello can be implemented in two-weeks (next month’s release)
POK: we are going to work on character development and we will keep all you posted on progress.
Bend or Break: we are exploring exporting it to webgl and testing it on newgrounds, we would finish the artwork and potentially add some story.(we want to host webgl on our site in the future)
tlL:dr : We are going to give you the game that has made or is making the most progress so that you get content rich releases, this give us time to have other projects up to speed before you guys play them. Keep your email address up to date and your patreon in good standing as I will be emailing some projects out.

Yeah this is fabulous news! Will be a great start getting SU out as your first. I'm sure it'll make a lot of people happy. Happy people are more willing to part with their money and support future things if it's proven things can be delivered. But yeah just keep it hush hush.

2016-03-29 16:18:41 +0000 UTCExcellent question! The goal is to get games to the point where content can be added at a decent pace. So right now we have SU at this place and slot. Once SU is closer to post-production, Bend or Break may be the project that gets attention, all the while POK is being developed in the background and not forced to be released every month. We will have time due to the other projects either being finished or getting additional content, which takes significantly less resources. The way we see our development is the bulk of the workload is in the pre-alpha state, meaning you as a player only start seeing progress nearing the mid-post development of our games. The idea being that when you see a game it will be at a point of significant content/change. We will monitor the age of a game, and the communities interest moving forward and use that as guides where to divert resources. Hope this answers your question. - SmokeShank
