BEST FORT EVER!
Added 2022-03-30 04:00:03 +0000 UTCI had high hopes for this strip. It was supposed to establish the boys hideout in the woods. I planned for it to be a never quite finished collection of crates and plywood where they frequently read comics and made plans to finish construction. But just like the hideout the follow-up strips never really materialized. I supposed it's at least historically accurate as I also spent an afternoon with my childhood friend "building" a fort and then promptly never visited it again. I haven't given up hope though. I'm sure they'll remember the old hideout in the woods again at some point.

I agree. But I have always enjoyed recurring sets in comic strips. Snoopy at his doghouse. Stuff like that. I wonder how long before the ship has sailed on something like this.
