2025-05-20 01:02:08 +0000 UTCNice! 😊 I totally agree about 60 fps. Low temporal resolution at 24/25/30 fps is unbearable to watch for some people, including me. The judder murders the experience. A nicely graded HDR-picture can be absolutely beautiful. With HLG it should be possible to upload a HDR video to YouTube which will look at it best even when viewed in SDR. I'm seeing forward to follow your HDR exploration, should you choose to follow that path in the future. 🙂

2025-05-16 19:54:45 +0000 UTCOh hey! It’s actually nearly exactly like the Dutch word “kanaal” but with L and N swapped. It’s fine anyway: there’s no realistic way that you could discover the correct pronunciation and rule out all other possibilities. Opinion 1: L-E-D should be three syllables, not one. But it’s only a matter of my personal taste; dictionaries list “led” as a possible alternative. I similarly dislike pronouncing SQL as “sequel”. At the same time, “amoled” doesn’t disturb me. Tricky! Opinion 2: the title “Lamps” is so much better than “Bulbs” / “Light bulbs”. There is something about how the sounds in this word play together, it somehow rhymes with the reflections on the glass and sounds from the starting track. (I guess some of the virality of the moth–lamp meme could be attributed to that.)
