She used to feel invisible in public, but today every guy seemed to look her way – and most of the women too. One guy stared at her for so long, she thought something was wrong. “Hey there,” she greeted openly. He immediately bumped into his cart and looked away bashfully.
Dude! It didn’t seem like these people were recognizing her from the show. Was she just that eye-catching now? Apparently. It was a really odd feeling.
She didn’t let it slow her. In a matter of minutes, she hefted two full baskets in one hand so she could sling two big boxes under her arm, and went looking for Amir.
Oh my gawd. She found him in no time, struggling with just a single, part-filled basket. It surely weighed less than either of the two Jen had in her hand – yet both his arms combined could hardly manage it!
She wanted to run up and tease and rib him, like in the old days. But how would he react now? She hesitated …
