Able to take the form of a female from any sentient race (humans, elves, even goblins), nymphs are shapeshifting nature spirits that take forms based on the areas they live in, so there is lots of variety in their manifestations. Some examples of different nymphs include freshwater, saltwater/sea, tree, wind, clouds, flowers, cave, snow, and even more! Nymphs use their shapeshifting ability to hide within their environment (such as turning into trees and dissolving into pond water) as well as use their adaptable beauty various reasons...but typically they are most known for seducing and eating people (particularly human men).
Nymphs typically "hunt" in groups of at least three and will only let their ethereally beautiful forms fall to more obviously elemental features right before eating their pray. They will also use their magical powers to aid them in these hunts, such as flower nymphs creating fields of alluring smelling flowers, or tree nymphs caging in their prey with quickly growing branches.
Lug was around a lot of nymphs when he lived near a monster-protected tower before meeting Neebs, so he knows a lot about them. Their use of seduction to lure in meals left Lug a bit confused on how sex works/ how relationships ought to be, the things he saw nymphs do conflicting with some of the memories he gained from absorbing humans himself.

Wind nymphs are more likely to steal the air out of someone's lungs to capture them. Boats are more a sea nymphs territory, though they may occasionally work together, and perhaps even gain help from cloud nymphs to cause a storm.
