Wally Game Animations

In addition to the horny comics, I've also been doing updates recently on any game art I'm producing. Most of that goes on the Discord, where the Patreon channel gets constant updates on the art I'm doing for my game project(s). But every once in a while I want to start doing a game art post like this, to update everyone not in that channel, or in the server in general. All the animations here are works in progress.

Unfortunately the video won't embed, but I'll live. The actual focal point is the animations.

The idle sprite in the video still uses the 1st idle pose as a placeholder for pretty much everything. After that initial pose, I began the process of bringing it to life. For poses 2 and 3, Wally's head, hands, and body were separated into different objects, in order to more easily animate the movement. I added sort of a boxing-based idle in the 2nd version, but during the 3rd one decided that I instead wanted her to have a rogueish pose. I flipped one of her rose daggers, and created 2 animations to test which hand I preferred to have the reversed grip. I chose the back hand, and in the final animation you can see the end result where all 4 pieces are merged back together into 1. I also gave her a more diluted body movement. Maybe a little bit of a raunchy movement, but that fits the character. Considering still making some more adjustments before coloring.

The main reason for choosing the back hand as the reverse grip was to better accommodate the running animations. The sprinting animation was created first. I decided early on to showcase multiple running speeds, similar to the Sonic series. I'm hoping the transitions from idle to run to sprint are nice and smooth, but if not I will consider adding an inbetween pose to smoothen it out. That'll get playtested later.

 The knife attack has 2 variations. The first animation in this image is the transition from idle to the rolling pose, and the next 2 are the transition back. The first animation is easy to smoothen, cause it always ends on the same crouching position. The 2nd variation though needs to be able to transition into various different possible poses. Idle, running, sprinting, climbing, jumping, and whatever else. Hopefully the motion will be enough, but if not that's also something that will need extra smoothening out later.

 After the first 2 slashing variations were worked out (first pose), I had 2 more I needed to complete. The middle image is an infinitely looping slash that is used underwater, and while flying. The torso's still missing from the spin, but otherwise I'm happy with how it looks. The last one is for the "drop dash" ability that I'm also stealing from the Sonic series. It's a lot more simplified, partly cause I'm a lazy MFer, but also cause it makes the pose stand out a lot.

 As of now, this is Wally's set of work in progress animations. They still need a lot of cleanup, but they'll be at a point soon where they'll be ready for playtesting. Once that's all set, I'll start showing everything off outside of Patreon, so this is a sneak peak for everyone here. I couldn't take on projects like this without all the support ya'll give me here, I hope you like~ And of course, more horny comics coming soon. Within the next few days in fact.
