I finished the draft of the first chapter in November, showed it to my brother and watched his reactions go from mild engagement to apathy as the chapter went on. Decided from there I'd better just redo it rather than subject Fanbox supporters to a boring story; if the people I trust to make my story better only finish it out of courtesy, then it's not good enough yet.

I spent November refining my approach to drawing, especially based on advice from Naoki Saito's videos. I'm still experimenting, so the way I draw is probably going to bounce around between different styles for a while.

Comic Progress

10 chapters scripted across 2 volumes, 9 of which are more or less finalized after a revision pass this week. I can technically start drawing volume 1 now, but I want to draft the final volume first so that I can plant any necessary seeds beforehand.

The big projects

I've come to the conclusion over the last few weeks that in drawing a picture per day, I've been committing to a lot of very short-term projects instead of the big ones like the dancer comic, whose script is ready to go, but whose art hasn't been touched since April.
