I underestimated how long this would take me, it should be finished tomorrow. I still have to fix some layering/lighting problems, add the background and write the dialogue. If the dialogue takes too long I will still upload the finished pic tomorrow and add the dialogue over the next few days (i generally don't want to delay pics just because it took longer than expected to write the dialogue). I just stumbled upon her design and really had the urge to draw her. I also wanted to try out some stuff, like drawing the ropes thinner to maybe make it look tighter and also some stuff with face variants (I mainly practiced to draw hoods) . I expected to run into a lot more layering issues while doing the lineart but it was surprisingly uncomplicated. I expect that the shading on this one won't be too complicated so it won't really take long although the next WIP might still take a bit longer since I'm gonna shade Asuna at the same time. I was finally able to settle on a pose, I eventually landed on the idea after reading through her wiki page for a potential dialogue and im quite happy with how it turned out. I can't say yet how fast I will finish this one. I've basically paused all my other works because I was just bothered by the fact that I couldn't find a pose that I was satisfied with. I haven't finalized the sketch yet, hence no color. I will redraw the face later on and still polish some parts/add more details, just wanted to share the general process. i planned to post the sketch for ingrid today but i just can't really settle on a pose, i might still give it a few days to find proper inspiration for the pose (i will definitely be able to finish her this month), i have like 4 different pics im working on concurrently so there might be some different WIPs coming up this week...

It also still tends to be a bit hard for me to write dialogue for characters that I barely know but I'm still giving my best. most of the time i just don't know where to start with a scenario if i'm unfamiliar with the character. I might upload a dialogue version tomorrow though i rewrote the dialogue several times now and i'm still not really liking it but i also didn't want to postpone the finished pic just cause of my uncertainties with the dialogue. It would also be with a relatively short dialogue sequence on this one (about 6 panels instead of the usual 15+ panels) but what I wrote just feels too “plain” up until now. The clothes were definitely more complex than I thought. It was also kind of a layering nightmare with this one, the variants with the hands were clipping through stuff a lot. Luckily I was able to fix all the issues (until I discover new ones while exporting). The Saeko pic will most likely be finished in the next few days. I definitely went a bit overboard with this one, since i couldn't decide if i'm gonna go with harness gags or normal ones i did both, then there are all the hands which ends up piling up to a lot of variants (i did the math and i will end up with 288 variants). Maybe I'll discard either the harness or normal gag variant to cut down a bit on the variants. I'm also not entirely sure if i'm gonna add vibes or just leave it with the hands. No color sketch for this one, the details are just too fine to properly add color to the sketch. I really like how this scenario turned out. I was thinking about adding more restraints but I just wasn't sure if it might end up being a bit too much. I haven't planned any dialogue since I don't know anything about the character, maybe i'll read a bit into it while working on it. The dialogue was kind of a last minute idea while I was already exporting, so it took a bit longer until I wrote it down and added it. I'm generally pretty happy with how the pic turned out. I also really had fun doing the shading on this one, I tried out lots of different techniques. I'm starting to get used to the colors of the new tablet and on the brushes in general (although I'm still confused on why they even behave differently). The WIP of the poll winner will be done these next few days....

I finished it. like i mentioned in the last WIP the shading might still be a bit off at some parts, still getting used to the color resolution of the new tablet. Usually I avoid drawing office chairs because I find them really annoying to draw but this one was surprisingly easy. I still have lots of pics coming up next month and hopefully there won't be any more problems next month so I can finally get stuff done. The Shading might be a bit off at some points, I'm still getting used to the new tablet and for some reason not all tools work the same as before. I'm guessing that it has something to do with the sensitivity of the pen, it's just a matter of some days of active shading until I get used to it. depending on when i'm gonna go to bed the finished pic might even be done by tomorrow (depending on timezone). I actually wanted to do the linearts for Ritsuko today but then had the idea for this one and got carried away a bit. i'm a bit surprised that it took me this long to draw her since i already planned to draw her at the start of the year but kept pushing it aside. I went through quite some different poses for this one, maybe I'll revisit some of them in the future. The chair was also pretty annoying to draw but I also didn't want to draw the classic wooden chair like always so I tried something new. I also never worked on this many different pics at the same time until now. Im Finally able to draw again. I really like the new tablet so far (it was really annoying to set up because I basically had to redo the entire cable management on my desk). It feels way smoother drawing on it than on my previous one and the colors are also way more accurate than before (the colors on my old tablet weren't really intense because I had an extra layer on it to prevent reflections). Hey There, just a small update. I mentioned in the monthly poll that my pen broke and I'd have to wait for a replacement, well turns out the pen I bought was incompatible with my tablet. I ordered a new pen that was compatible with my tablet on the same day (I actually ordered two so I would have one as a backup). Once again sorry that everything takes so long currently. i'm still recovering from the burnout, these past few days i've been slowly picking up pace again.
