This page is meant to juxtapose the variety of Joel's activities with the darkened, static surroundings of the shrunken character. The original story describes this part in a vague, mostly unknowable manner, as it is told from the perspective of the human.

I redid the first panel a few times because I couldn't get the drawing solid enough. I eventually changed it entirely from what I originally thumbnailed.

This character belongs to UmbraFox. I like equine characters and this guy's design was a good opportunity for lots of graded washes--my favorite thing to do with digital watercolor.

I was finally able to start on the sequence I had in mind for this character (who belongs to Tredain). It'll probably be included in a sketchbook later this year.
UPDATE: Added a few drawings. There will probably be one more update later next week.
