William Oh once got his head latched onto by a mind-controlling crab. After a week of mind-bending hallucinations…the hive-mind was under his control.

Strangely enough, The Last Chance Inn was much harder to sneak into than the smuggler’s dock, for a variety of reasons.
The entire boat was well lit, there were tons of carousing witnesses, and nearly as many high-level bouncers with st...

There were a couple places they had in mind to check for dark secrets: Abandoned docks, like Reese had suggested And the church of Granesh, because they had such a fine time breaking in the last time they went for a walk, and if there was a secret demi-human plot against The Flotilla, the church of Granesh would be the ones who would be most interested in finding out.
Aside from…everyone else who liked a juicy conspiracy.

Fighting William Oh is like fighting a tornado. A force of nature. I personally witnessed no less than fifty men violently tossed around and battered with furniture, all the while grasping at nothing but air. Then he came for me.

Paragraph 82, subsection 3: On Knife Fighting.
Mutually agreed upon knife-fights are legally binding for settling disputes between Party Leaders. They are to be confined to indoor areas, as bleeding into the water is forbidden. The blade itself may measure no more than 2 inches for the safety of the fighters. Fights will be determined by first blood. Climbers failing to yield promptly after first blood are required to be beaten by any and all specta...

William Oh arrived at The Flotilla on a ghost ship, carved from the bones of a dead leviathan and piloted by ghosts.
Once they docked, tales spread like wildfire of deckhands and voluptuous chambermaids that seemed to appear and disappear, never allowing others to get an accurate grasp of how many souls were on board. Some nights it seemed like hundreds were on board, while other nights, only a single window would flicker with lamplight revealing about a dozen people, beggi...

Travis’s eyes snapped open, the light of early morning peeking over the edge of the raft edge beside his head. “Shit.”
“Indeed.” Loth said, from where she loomed above him. “The rest of the Party forgot you existed when they went exploring this morning. Do you have some kind of mnemonic camouflage Ability upgrade? And do you perhaps use it to avoid taking watch at night?”
Oh, right, she has the highest Focus in the Party.

So I wasn't even sure myself what this would do for Mason. I'm dabbling with a handful of ideas, and was wondering what you guys thought was cool.
regardless of which one we pick, his skin is going to take on a faint mother-of-pearl look.
#1 Large bonus to physical power. Since resistance is a multiplier of your base toughness, this effect will raise his base toughness, making him naturally inhumanly tough/strong. This option is kind of basic, but reliable.
#2 Hollow ...

Alright, so I started writing Chapter 84 which is right around where we are starting book three and the exploration of Floor 6+, and I realized I need to come up with A LOT of new Relics for the party and it's slowing down the chapter designing and balancing. I've separated them into 4 categories if you wanna help. I even wrote in a basic guide for how I'm designing them.
#1: We have auction items. these are Sacrifices or Relics with 10-20 total stat bonuses, 1-3 affixes, and these ite...

The day of the tournament marched towards them, but Will didn’t sit idle. Motivated by the fact that his life was on the line, he channeled all his energy into three things:
