Solstice Ruins (Launch)

Hello everyone!
Last week was the summer solstice and I dedicate this map to this event.
It is a mystical place where a circle of ancient stones has witnessed arcane rituals or meetings between sages and priests.
A dirt road crosses this place, a sign that even today someone visits the stone circle.

I made the map in the classic day and night versions, I wanted to add a map designed for the View Post

A path through giant trees (Launch)

Hello everyone, second release of May.

I have always admired forests formed by giant trees, such as the Sequoia National Park, so I wanted to create a map with this theme.
The hardest part in making a map like this is to make it clear that the trunks are not cut trees but it is a useful section to show the terrain. For this reason it was important to draw and show the shadows of the trunks and leaves.

Which style to use?

I'm testing different style to draw trees, vegetation and other assets in my maps.

Classic style is the most used, not only by me, but there are at least two other ways in which we can draw some elements, here I show you two.

Realistic is performed using special brush in Photoshop, the final effect is very good, the only problem is that it's not easy to show lineart for black & white version of the maps.
