In the spirit of giving I've decided to do a YCH Raffle in place of this months poll! I sketched up a rough draft for the pose, think warm campfire lighting with slivers of silver moonlight hitting the rims of the figures and across the snow.
The wolf guy will most likely be brown or perhaps a classic grey wolf pattern, I'll have to see what works best with the lighting.

I dreamed up a bit of a story to go with this one. These two came to blows after the grey wolf ventured into the black wolf’s pack territory. Watching from the shadows of the dark woods the black wolf waited until the grey was exposed before confronting him. The grey determined to find better game stood his ground against the larger black and the two fought in the falling snow.

Sketch- In this first phase the sketch reflects what the client and I initially spoke about upon starting the commission process. We take time and make sure to talk through all of the aspects and details in writing and I do my best to put it into a rough sketch. This phase is the best time to make sweeping changes so I like to spend some time in this stage until the commissioner feels pleased with it.
