Hey folks, apologies for the somewhat late post this morning. Anyway, a friend of mine reminded me of some old drawings I did of ladies in a genie outfit, and well... I've had worse reasons to draw Rosemary again. Not sure if I'll color this one but it's certainly a pleasing look.

Ya know, it's not the first time that I would end up taking a character from a specific hyperfixation and adjusting the design and traits to fit an original cute pinuppy universe. I was already kind of doing that, but at the same time, the dinosaurs and Jurassic Park are part of the appeal here.

So I guess it's kinda a different take on the character and the show. I wouldn't claim any kind of ownership of it, and that's more than fine. I just like the hair and drawing fit girls and din...

Fightin Cass

Honestly this pose could've come out a bit better but I still rather like the expression. I think I'd adjust Cassandra's figure here if I tried this again, though. I think she might look cooler if she seemed leaner and meaner. At least in this kinda MMA boxing getting up.

The Handler

I'mma gonna be talking about Jurassic World Chaos Theory for some time, I think. Maybe not here. I don't wanna bore you guys unless it's drawing cool art of cool ladies from the show like this one lady was pretty cool. She's just a totally scary villain who does a lot with only a few scenes and I loved it.

I like how this illustration came together but I wasn't sure how it was coming out until the shadow of the atrociraptor worked out behind her. And keeping the shading somewhat simple ...

Just kinda... making some shiny art. Also a friend of mine is a big Asuka fan so. Ya know, I'm not opposed to drawing a shiny Asuka.

Chaos Theory Yas

I know there are a lot of movies and shows to watch right now. But I would have to recommend the new show, Jurassic World Chaos Theory, which is a nice continuation of Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous, which you guys probably have noticed I liked a lot. It was nice to get a grown-up Yasmina, too, or at least a canon grown-up Yasmina and not just my aged-up version. I just wanted to draw the new design, though I do miss the older hair.

Anyway, give the show a watch. It's the best Jurassic ...

Goin a little retro, Coco?

Experimenting a little with different poses. I should do fewer standing portrait shots and more angled and interesting shots. Something about Coco looking up just past the viewer adds a lot to this.

Not a fan of this experiment (peril)

I know some of you guys aren't a fan of peril like I am, but... I kinda really like it. It probably comes from watching a lot of cartoons and comics where danger and cute leads were commonplace. A weird gift (drone kink)

A birthday gift for my friend, Weirdseal! You guys might recognize Odessa. I'm sure she's in the tags for art that I've made across the years. Though I'm not sure if I've marked off her human form or her furry snow leopard form as different posts...

Data on the Spider Girl (cw: arachnophobia)

It's Penelope again! But I just wanted to get some details down to make sure that I can draw her more consistently in the future. The hardest thing for me was that I didn't really know a lot about drawing spiders. I still don't! But I figured I should do a quick study on some basic spider legs. Counting the segments and the general shape of the leg segments and figuring out some useful shorthands to draw them will help in the future.

Penelope is probably why I got interested in the idea...

Our Biggest Attraction (pinup)

Not gonna lie. This was a really fun commission to complete. I get to reference the classic attack of the 50 Foot Woman movie poster, Jurassic Park, Yasmina, and torn clothes in a single pic? I had to take the job. It took a while, but I'm pretty happy with the result. And I think the commissioner's happy with it, too.

I don't remember all the story's details, but suffice it to say there are some experiments, and waking up as gigantic is something that takes a bit to get used to.

SAFE workers

So here I am, doing a little more world-building-conceptual stuff for SAFE. Have I mentioned the title? SAFE stands for the Study of Anomalous Friendly Entities. It's a division within a much larger organization that may or may not resemble the SCP Organization.

A quick commission for one of my friends. They requested a matching Ashley for their birthday gift Lillith OC from a few months ago. Anyway, I don't have much of a story about this. Whether it's a robot copy of Ashley or Ashley trying on a new fancy sci-fi outfit, I'm good with whatever. She still makes a nice gift.

Howdy Pard'ner

So... guess who has reinstalled Fallout 4 and played a TON of it over the week. But I'm not playing it vanilla this time, or at least not completely vanilla. I'm running a mod called Sim Settlements 2, which adds a whole parallel quest to the main game. The quest is based around rebuilding the wasteland and utilizes a lot of Fallout 4's EXCELLENT town and city-building tools. I think they genuinely could have made more of the game based on this system and it would've been a real blast to play...

Isabelle and Nathan, getting to work

I must have talked about the way guns work in the whole "SCP" setting I have going on, right? They're supposed to have these little modulators at the end that affects the dimensional qualities of projectiles passing between them, allowing them to neutralize and affect paradimensional entities.

Anyway, this lead to me wondering a lot of practical things about the weapons. How would you holster these side arms? How would Nathan operate them with one arm? It's interesting and fun stuff to ...

Izutsumi Cass

Well I drew Izutsumi in Cassandra Cain's outfit before, so I figured I should have Cassandra return the favor. It's a pretty fun outfit, though unlike Izutsumi, Cass would probably not appreciate how little it covers.

Probably not canon. Or it could be. I dunno! Anyone a friend on the discord asked me to draw Isabelle in a Gantz outfit or something and I figured this could be close enough :)

I'm not sure how much you guys might follow videogame news but one of the biggest stories last week was the closure of several game studios owned by Microsoft, one of them being Tango Gameworks. Tango, who just last year released one of my favorite new titles, Hi-Fi Rush, was suddenly and unceremoniously dissolved. No more updates or sequels to Hi-Fi Rush ever. It kinda left me upset.

I just wanted to say goodbye to Chai at least. Thank the crew for the fun ride.

Dressing down a bit

Little stuck on you...

This was a gift for my buddy Finalizer's birthday. You know the guy, the one who likes Samus a lot and is probably 80% of the reason I've drawn Samus in recent years. The other 20% being I like drawing Samus.

Anyway, figured I'd draw something we both like so here's Samus and Cass a little close for comfort. A patron said they should instead be sharing the same suit at the same time and I'm thinking I could maybe make that happen...

Embiggened

So this is just a wip I had started from last week for a commission. A commissioner asked for a giant Yas and I wasn't about to ignore the opprotunity. I will be changing the composition a bit, but I just wanted to share this one sketch as a daily update for you guys.

The other one

I just REALLY wanted a matching Cass pic for that Steph pic. I changed a bit of my usual style with her to better fit the Steph portrait. I think they make a neat pair! That said, I like the rendering here, and I like just the slight stylization in the way I drew their bodies. I might want to find ways to include this in other drawings.
