We spend half the morning climbing the steep path that twists around Clearwater Mountain.

The air thins with every step, and the sea turns silver far below. By the time we reach the summit, the nobles are already waiting, clustered around Lord Clearwater’s pavilion.

Formatting Problem

It was mentioned in the previous chapter, but apparently Patreon doesn't have the formatting for the Horizontal Line in Google Docs.

When there's not a complete scene change, but just a POV shift, like the ones in the guild, I've been using the lines as dividers instead of the three asterisks. Apparently, that doesn't work here.

I've temporarily substituted each horizontal line with a '---' so it'll make the scenes readable on Patreon.
