uh, I found like a bunch of old embarrassing e-mails while I was looking at old artwork too and that was silly. I was like being put into classes I didn't wanna be in during middle school and was super mad about it.

uh, I was looking at some of my old work for inspiration. There were a lot that in hindsight I think I criticized too harshly and like, moved away from ever drawing anything like it again. I remember especially getting rid of weird horny shapes, and being very self-conscious about the size of the eyes I was drawing.

Picture Perfect

um, so it kinda just randomly made sense to me that the more I've spent time thinking about drawing rather than actually just exerts an uncomfortable amount of pressure to like, make something that's filled to the brim with inspiration and mastery.

so I kinda felt like it's inside a lot of us sometimes to kind of hold onto that and all we really can do is like give the best that we've got and see what happens.

there's a lot of noodling around but I got some neat ideas and I'm pretty pleased with the inspirations for new shapes I can do more with in future pictures. There are lots of very nice drawings of balls/pictures of balls. uh, I've been thinking a lot about like art block too, since it kind of seems to be the kind of thing a lot of us get and it's not just with art.

like when you get grocery list block because you're not sure what you wanna eat v_v

I have two more characters I'd like to create illustrations for that are kind spring themed... IT was a lot of fun to like suddenly think about flowers and easter egg patterns.

um, I've been like studying sort of but also like, trying to make a bunch of illustrations based on conversations I've had with ppl. It's like, fun or something. I also like, made up some characters with someone and got reminded of how fun tabletop RPGs are.

Poison

uh, I was asked to draw Poison awhile ago and this morning I did it suddenly. I've attached some alternates I did for it in a zip file.

opacity layers kind of remind me of that thing where you use watercolors for the first time and it's just like nice to watch the color and the water blend with the paper.
