Jessie Topless V3 Progress

Here's the current progress on Jessie Topless V3! I spent some time trying to improve her anatomy and textures since V2 started to feel like it was lacking some detail and some accuracy. I will also include a smaller breast size as well since that seems like it is the most common feedback for my Jessie mod so far. I still need to import her into the game and see how her new model looks there, but I'll keep you guys posted when I do!

Paused Billing + Updates!

I have paused the billing cycle for May!

I'm never quite satisfied with the quality of my anatomy, so I've been taking additional time to study more anatomy and develop better techniques, but it's difficult to post updates about things like that so I have decided to pause the billing for now.

For example, in my Jessie V2 mod, Jessie's abdomen and back anatomy are things that already pains me to look at and I'm itching to redo soon with the new things I've been learning.

Tifa Animation Model WIP + Update

I've been working on getting Tifa's rig setup for animations. There is still some work to do to on getting the weight-painting and deformations just right, but it's coming together well. I'm still working on tweaking the model also so the proportions also aren't completely final, but I'm interested if you guys have any critiques so far.

I discovered a texture bug with Cloud's eyelashes actually while capturing screenshots and footage which took a bit to resolve, but it's now been corrected and the video is coming along smoothly. Here's are two noteworthy comparisons in the video I find interesting currently.

Cloud Hyper HD Texture Pack WIP5

I've just completed bug testing and I'm now beginning to capture photos and video to showcase the mod. Since Cloud's color fluctuates a bit even in Remake, I decided to give Cloud Hyper HD 3 color options, just affecting his shirt, pants, and boots.

I'm curious if the high-res version of Cloud in the menu will be adjusted in Rebirth to match the game model, or if Cloud's game model will adjust to match his menu render. I think the former will happen personally, or maybe they ...

Cloud Hyper HD Texture Pack WIP4

Good progress on the stitches and fabrics so far. It's a subtle change but I'm trying to align him more with his high-res renders, like in the game's pause menu. His shoulder pad and general color scheme are pretty dissimilar from his game model. But I'd also like to find somewhat of a middle-ground between the two.

Edit: Updated with 2 in-game screenshots. Some normal issues on the belt buckle, but looking good I think.

Cloud Hyper HD Texture Pack WIP3

Current progress on Cloud's metal wrist things as a result of the high-poly mesh baking. Matching the amount of metal wear is actually pretty fun, and the added contrast between the screw metal and the band metal I think helps give it some pop. Additionally, the exported in-game textures should look slightly better than this since Substance's viewport can only preview textures in 4K, and these will be exported in 8K.

Cloud Hyper HD WIP2

More progress on Cloud's high poly mesh recreations. I believe I won't need to do this for 100% of Cloud's meshes, but only just the metal and hard surfaces that could really benefit from the additional data these provide. The rest of the organic surfaces, like the leather, I think will mostly benefit from just hand painting. Once this step is complete the rest should be much smoother sailing!

Cloud might be a little more difficult than I thought. In order to give him the highest quality textures possible (without having Square's original high res files), I'll have to make my own high-res meshes to bake new normals and curvature maps from to be used for texturing. The hard-surfaces he has will require the most work I think, but I'm excited to see how the results turn out!

I also cut together this short trailer demonstrating the mod as well as the added jiggle physics, let me know what you guys think! I think the jiggle physics look better at regular speed actually, but the slow motion was good with the music.

Shiva Nude Natural WIP3 - Soon👀

Everything is looking good in-engine! It will take me a while to capture and edit the necessary footage and screenshots, but the mod is complete and I'm pretty pleased how it turned out. There is also jiggle physics as well and it works much better than Tifa's actually. Since for Shiva, she already has physics objects on her chest that I could pull from. Tifa only has her earring.

Tifa Animation Model NSFW WIP

I redid the sculpting on her abs and slimmed down her legs a bit from previously. Since this animation will be aiming for a more cartoony style instead of realism, I'm also trying to exaggerate her design and FX in a few ways. Although, I also made her height and general leg to torso ratio align with Tifa's official Remake model, since previously she was feeling a bit shorter than expected.

Tifa Animation Model WIP

I've also still been working on my Tifa model for animation. I'm still tweaking some of her proportions but I think each iteration is looking slightly better than the previous one. In my head I'm aiming for a hybrid style between something like Pixar and Studio Trigger somehow. I'm not sure if I'll be able to achieve it but I'll keep experimenting.

Shiva Nude Natural WIP2

Shiva has a lot of interesting and unique patterns on her skin which would be difficult to recreate from scratch, so keeping as much of her original mesh I felt was important, but also makes this a bit tricky. I similarly kept as much of Tifa's original mesh as possible, but Tifa has fewer gaps in her mesh to fill and much cleaner topology to work with.

Although, so far progress has been going smoothly. There's still a bit more texture work to do and then weight-painting. But...

Shiva Nude/Topless Mod WIP1 + Scarlet Mod Update

I had assumed there was a nude Shiva mod already, but I couldn't find one so I think it will be an interesting one to do next. Her mesh is a bit tricky though, so I think it may take longer than mesh mods usually take since there's a lot of her mesh missing to make it easier for them to animate her fabrics.

Tifa Hyper HD Mod WIP4

The clothing is now all complete! The next difficult part will be upgrading the skin while keeping the original value and saturation intact. I've experimented with a few methods of creating higher fidelity skin textures but I wasn't satisfied with the methods I tried so far, but I'll keep experimenting. I may release the mod without changing skin however, if I can't find a good method.

Tifa has a lot more intricate detail than I realized. Looking at Cloud's textures more closely briefly, he is very simple in comparison and would likely already be complete if he had a similar Hyper HD texture pack. 

There is a lot more work to get it to the quality that I am looking for, but progress on Tifa is progressing smoothly. I especially like how the stitches have turned out.

The current progress on Tifa's arm guards with the Hyper HD mod. It's possible to see what the etchings should actually read by viewing her official high res renders, and they do match up with the shape of the blurry letterings in the game textures. So I used them as a reference when recreating the detail.

Hopefully when Rebirth comes out, they will remake all the textures in 4K that we will be able to bring back into Remake.

Tifa Hyper HD Mod WIP

WIP of a texture pack mod I've had in mind that manually goes through all of Tifa's textures and remakes them with higher fidelity. I'm not quite sure how long it will take since the shirt is maybe the easier part.

I'm thinking I'll make 2 versions, one that only replaces textures, and one that also modifies the mesh. So the texture one would be compatible with other Tifa mods potentially.

Tifa Nude Natural V7 Mod WIP4

Here is a preview of the 9 options that this mod will be comprised of 3 clothing options and 3 breast size options. It took longer than I thought to export out all the variations, and longer also to capture the differences in a clear and consistent way.

I decided to bundle this as an update to the Tifa Nude Natural mod, and make Tifa Hyper HD as it's own mod building off Tifa's standard clothing. This mod though, still uses a lot of the stuff developed for Tifa Hyper HD.

The mod is now close to complete. Now I'm mostly just bug testing for proper weight-painting and collecting demo materials like images and video.

Full Body Tifa Hyper HD Mod WIP2

Update on the current mod progress. It's partially working in game but out of frame there is still quite a bit of work to do. But so far it is progressing smoothly, and the high-res Tifa sculpt will be useful in updating my other Tifa mods as well.

Full Body Tifa Hyper HD Model and Textures Mod WIP

I realized a better way to preserve the original Tifa's model and textures and reverse the normal textures into a heightmap. From this I'll be able better conform the subdivided mesh to what the textures are trying to convey (like her muscles and bellybutton), and also bake 8K normal maps from for higher detail. Also from this I'll be able to update my other Tifa mods to have higher res models and textures as well. There's still a bit more work to do to finalize this however.
