At first Luger takes back his question deciding he does NOT want anything to do with other's drama, and he ESPECIALLY does not want to be a part of emotional trauma. Pressured to do better though, Luger begrudgingly asks what's going on.
That's when he's informed Gavol attempted to kill him and...that's it. Luger regrets everything.

If you look at all the sequels and spinoffs, Paul would not be out of place in the Bomberman universe.

Zeiss reveals she knows General Gowler has been alive a very, VERY long time thanks to his use of Canter Copying. He's also the one who spearheaded destroying the planet Zeiss was from because if he couldn't have the Catagas tech that they were receiving, no one could!
Zeiss is not taking this well as laughter turns into a shrill, garbled shriek.

Epilogue: Ront is still dazed by the hurried, unexplained departure, but a notification from his fave app declaring he's getting the high score for making best time lifts his spirits right up again.
