Comic Rewards 03-05-2019

I have only the first five pages of "Switches" ready because of the very short month, the travel I did, and an illness I had. But still! I'm surprised I managed to do as much in February as I did. Things have settled in and I'm more or less back on my normal schedule of production. I appreciate your patience and support!

March 5th Comic Update Schedule

The comic rewards get posted tomorrow, but instead of posting them first thing, I'll be posting them in the evening. I have an appointment which will take up most of my day and I won't be able to post up the comic stuff until I get home. Thank you for the patience!

Decided to name her Claire, since her and Charles probably have the kind of parents that name their kids names that all have the same first letter.

Spent last night sketching a possible design for Charles' sister. I'm open to name suggestions.

Trixie Testbed

Fiddling around with a fuzzy texture. I may decide to use something like this in the future, a little more sparingly than I used it here, as I was practicing. We'll see. 

Trixie Testbed

Something quick and simple I did with the intent of, later, experimenting with some textures and such to perhaps develop a more elaborate color method. If I'm successful, you'll see it. If I'm not, I'll burn the studio, collect insurance, flee to Mexico, and no one will ever know of my failure.

Comic Rewards 02-05-2019

Normal Perverts is finished, and you can find all 20 pages attached to this post in a .zip. It's leading head long into some of the character themes surrounding Brooke and Francis that will be covered in ongoing pages of Brooke Goes To College. I'm sorry I haven't worked on those as much as I should, but drawing and coloring Brooke all the time in my main project means I wasn't putting as much into her side comic. But I expect that to pick up a bit more now.

When I included "Switches" in the list, I remarked to my girlfriend that I didn't expect it to win because it mostly involved two feminine guys. Then I realized that it includes red pandas, which are the most time consuming characters to color, so it'll probably win anyway.

Comic Rewards 01-05-2019

Whew! The holidays were quite busy, but the comic rewards chug along on schedule. I always think I have a grip on how much I can do, and then social obligations often torpedo my expectations. This showed up mostly in the side-drawings I didn't get done for December. I realized since moving to 11x17 pages and increasing the page numbers per comic, it takes me a bit longer to do any one particular project. But I think the finished project is worth it.
