Quick update.

Urgh I’m unwell…

Doing this as a post so it doesn’t get lost in the chat. Very very annoyingly I have been unwell since yesterday and in bed with a high temp, some sort of throat infection etc. so I’m unable to record anything. I will, however, be resting and spending time looking through the Patreon video comments and chat and responding where appropriate and thinking about some of the tea party scene we discussed in the last stream.

Dub vs Sub

Interesting poll running on my YT channel currently. In my personal opinion as content creator:

Sub - I find it a bit harder to watch as I'm focussing on reading rather than action etc. although I met get better at this over time. Might be harder for viewers as they too will have to read. I can potentially enlarge the portion of the screen with the subs in editing (which also disrupts the clips for copyright). And in editing there can be more continuity as I can have sections as just th...

As you can tell from this video I was offered (what is to me) a considerable amount of money via sponsorship. I'm always looking at ways to bring some money into the channel with the hope that one day I can out source some editing as I want to really focus on the best content with the latest evidence base. Patreon and Apple App pricing

Hey everyone, just a quick heads up. I have had an email from Patreon today saying that the new app store pricing has now come into effect. What this means is that Patreon displays prices as 30% higher to people who are using the Patreon App on an apple device. This is so Patreon can cover their 'Apple App Store Tax'. Hey. I'm trying to come up with a relatively regular schedule I can stick to so people have some idea of what to expect each week. Thinking about live streaming the best days for me are Mondays and Wednesdays. I am going to propose some 2 hour slots for those days to see what best suits people. I will also consider other evenings (i.e. Friday) and day time (weekends) but it is hard to make those regular commitments with family life so this poll is for Mondays and Wednesdays.
