I had been showing pictures from my visit to a friend, we'd been walking through a park and the have a fairy wood, with all these trees  with fairy doors on them

I was just thinking that of the boys, only one of them has a mother who is alive (tho asi did mention that the game dev. say Gladio's mom is alive) 

Can you imagine if, mothers day comes around and the boys withdraw a bit. Its not the same sting it used to be but it still feels a lot like salt in the wound to see so many happy families. 

Probably imply to Prompto that he's so lucky

Gladio refuses to talk about him, as it's a painful reminder of his inability to protect Noctis and how he feels as a shield with no King to protect. 

Prompto worries it's been years and he's forgetting what it was like to hang out with Noct, so talking about him helps keep his memory strong.
