Sylvia & Jerry bar- inking process

I've been trying to make my sketches more solid + with more thought to shadows, but every time I do, I end up wanting to ink them! So here's the inking process :P

I'm trying to get better with spot blacks, adding little areas of black to show depth, and large areas to break up the image etc! I don't think...

These pages are really intuitive, colour wise! It's nice to slam some brightness in there to break up the beige a bit, especially the yellow at the bottom, it was satisfying to work some weird colours into the scene, instead of a plain backdrop like the other bright colours.

I had a fun time with this page! I had no idea if I could make it flow right, haha! I wanted it to feel like- though Marnie and Roman weren't aware of the music until the end, because they're talking, the reader kinda is? But the speech bubbles are supposed to look a little like beats/notes along it!

One of the rare pages where I like the final as much as the sketch! I'm starting to use more lines, and I think it means I'm staying closer to the 'essence' of the sketch, which is satisfying!

If I ever get time I'd love to make a Sylvia & Jerry commentary doodle for some pages :'), I can hear them yelling at him to do the dishes in my head.
Which...would be after I finish the smut comic, finish the AU comic I promised, aaand do the character Q&A that we've been inching closer to in the goals *sweats*
I'm still struggling with arm/wrist problems, and working less than I want to each day, but I'm super grateful you're all still here <3

I feel like my style is getting more line-ey recently, I guess because I've been experimenting more with inking, its interesting that it's bleeding through to my painting!

Also! Should I also include the final page on these process pics so you can tell what I'm talking about, or would it be annoying to get it twice?

As usual I didn't do a sketch for the chapter header and treated it more like a speedpaint, so here's a wip and the reference I was loosely basing the buildings on!

(It'll publicly change to one update a week in a month or so- when it's the public chapter 2 end, so you guys'll still be around a month ahead!)

I figure I'll try out doing polls like this for a while, instead of asking for suggestions, since I tend to get more input, I hope that's cool!

I can't do every combo of options/person, because the results would be too spread, so I've put things I'd be most interested in doing, and I'll try other ones next month (Like I'd like to do clothes swaps for everyone but it'd probably be too many options to get a solid vote!)
