Do you remember Elpida, the real Greek beauty whom I shot in Athens last April?

Ashley art nude at Aphrodite’s beach

This never seen before beautiful art nude image of Ashley at Aphrodite’s beach has just been retouched my Alexander Fess.  I don’t know how or why we overlooked it in the edits that were done a couple of months ago but I’m pleased we discovered it as I think it’s one of the most beautiful art nude images I have ever created.  What do you think about it? 

Yippee another FPI!

It’s one of Nicola in Santorini - the version without the tree shadow (remember the post that I offered two options for this?). The original one had the tree shadow and in the first edit Alex didn’t take it out.  Initially he claimed it gave the image depth but after he took it out, he agreed with me that the shadow was a distraction. I’ve included both versions here to remind you.  I’m so pleased I insisted as it does make the image so much more striking, doesn’t it?

Multiple award winner!

It was FPI on Purpleport a couple of days ago, then a starred image on Model Folio and now Image of the Day 14-08-22 on MF!  Not a marginal win, either.  I‘m so keen to continue working with Alicia Black, I think we can create masterpieces together.

Isn’t this wow?

Sometimes I amaze myself with my creations.  This is certainly one such case. I start asking.  Is it me, my models or my retoucher? I suppose it’s a team effort but no doubt the planning to get shots like that is all mine 😊 - I do need to blow my own trumpet sometimes.

On Purpleport another photographer asked about the location of my last FPI at that spot.  He said is it Thira or a special location? Frankly it takes a lot of planning to secure a location like that an...

Delighted to win another star on Model Folio - this one happened just two hours after I posted the image!  It is the the same image that was on the front page of Purpleport yesterday.  Clearly another prize winning image - which makes me even more excited to be working with Alicia again in the very near future.

Yippee my first FPI with Alicia

My first ever image of Alicia on Purpleport is now on the front page! This wasn’t an accident. I waited until I had an image that was worthy of FPI before posting.  So I only started posting my home studio pics with Alicia after my first one of her from Santorini. And that was one from the sunset shoot on 31st July.

My Limassol

Another star on MF

Just like buses, photo awards come in tow or threes, but I’m not complaining!  The main thing is to get them.  I do love this image of Athena in Cyprus, the colours and the composition could make it cover for a travel magazine, I think. Nice of MF to star it - which is the equivalent of their front page.

She Sparkles!

Hello from Cyprus

Good morning patrons. I’m now in Cyprus for a three week family holiday.   I flew in yesterday via Zurich on Swiss - not least because the direct flights were unbelievable expensive, not to mention my love of Swiss and chocolate!  

Although it’s a family ‘holiday’, it’s initially more like duty as I’m overseeing my elderly mother‘s recovery from knee surgery while my sister is on holiday in Corsica.

Sammie - complete set of nudes

I may have posted some of these, but definitely not all of them so I thought it’s a good idea to put them all on one post. What I love about Sammie is that she is totally uninhibited when she poses, which allows me to reveal the full beauty of her naked body.  She’s also totally comfortable in the tiniest Tangaland micro bikinis, that frankly don’t hide anything at all!   The good news for me and you guys is that I’m planning five days of shoots with Sammie in November ...

More from Camber Sands and what’s ahead

There were so many lovely images from my previous shoot with Nicola last month, so I sent a few more for retouching.  These ones are from Camber Sands.  It’s a shame Nicola couldn’t stay longer in Santorini as I really wanted to do a beach shoot with her.  The good news is that she’s coming to Cyprus in October, so there will be plenty of opportunity to do beach shoots.  Her flights to Cyprus are already booked 4-11 October and I’m planning three days at Aphrodite ...

She’s a real star!

It’s always great to win another star on MF and this happened earlier today,  with this beautiful image of Nicola in Santorini.  But I’ll tell you why Nicola is a real star - this was done on the same evening we arrived in Santorini.  Our flight from Heathrow was just after 10 in the morning so we all had to get up really early, 4am in my case.  Although I never asked her, I suspect she also got up similar time as she was at Heathrow at 7.30am, and had to travel from K...

Thirassia shoot

On our last day in Santorini, we travelled to the small island of Thirassia from the port of Ammoudi - the trip takes 15-20 minutes by private boat, although on the way back we took the public boat that took nearly one hour as it made two stops before returning.  Was the trip worth it? Pale and yellow

These were shot at Ammoudi bay just before we took the boat for Thirassia.  It’s not Alicia’s usual style - which is art nude - but they work so well.  Her pale skin, the white man’s shirt - mine 😆 - her expressions against the bright yellow of that wall, the steps  and flowers make is a beautiful composition despite the strong light. It was around 2pm on 1st August - doesn’t get any brighter than that. Of course Alicia was in the shade, but even so…

Yippee my 40th FPI

It’s always nice to wake up to another FPI!  This one is from my trip to Dubai with Jasmine High last January.  It took a long time coming as I posted it soon after the identical version posted by Jasmine got the FPI. But better late than never, don’t you think? The next big landmark is 100 FPIs - if and when that happens I’ll throw a big party! 

Alicia - art nude model par excellence

I have now shot with Alicia a few times and I can honestly say that when it comes to art nude, she’s probably the best I shot with.  Look at those curves in her very slender body. Also, she’s an accomplished photographer in her own right and in these images she was suggesting angles I probably wouldn’t have tried, which does make her stand out.  But in all fairness, Ashley again was there and advising both of us - Alicia on posing and me on angles.
