Since Levi's gonna appear in the next scene, I wanted to practice drawing him a little. I forgot that his hair is pretty confusing but it'll turn out ok in the final pages I think.
For those that don't know him: he's Piets brother!
All praise for the background references goes to SketchUp! It may be a pain to build the room in 3D but when you're done, it's so relaxing to just take screenshots of the angle you need for each panel and draw over it! (I'm already nervous to build the next room that comes up ... which will probably be a library ...)

You probably noticed that the lineart is a bit bolder than before. I'm trying a different brush in Clip Studio which feels more comfortable right now because I can leave the lines a little more loose when the brush itself has more texture already.
I finished the lineart for the last couple of pages left for this scene which you'll get to see over the next days :)

Reminder: Not everything I draw is canon, but might be. Or not. I keep spinning ideas around, shuffling couples and look at the outcome with surprised eyes.
I've noticed over the last two years that I have a hard time staying with one couple. Like: I don't really have OTPs among my own characters?
Here's a little walkthrough of my latest artwork of Julian.
The sketch was done in Clip Studio Paint, everything else with Photoshop.
When I went through everything I drew this year, I was a little disappointed that 90% of it were more or less rough sketches. I really want to bring back more finished pieces and do more with color again. It feels like "oh man, I can do more than that!" XD Although sketching was important to loosen up, learn expressions and gestures.

These dudes are friends of Phil (classmates) he always hangs around. Julian gets introduced to them through Phil at first but becomes a part of the group as time passes.
OK, so here's the first draft of the cover! A friend helped me to find a better title and I think this one works pretty well! Have to let it sink a little though.
Genre: Drama/Slice of Life (+some lgbt+ stuff), 15+ (?)
Here's some full body wips I've been working on, too ... lines are hard, haha ; -; when you're sketching you can hide so many mistakes! (and I'm like ... always only sketching except for jobs)

Scribbling a scene very quickly without paying attention to paneling helps to understand movement and expressions so much better than to dive right into the real thing! Have to try this more often.

If you've been following me on social networks, you might have noticed that I'm thinking up a new story lately (work title "Spielverderber", meaning "spoilsport") to get into the drive again.
Protagonist is 13years old Julian. I won't spoil much of the story yet, but I'm going to share some unseen sketches with you! :)
It will hopefully turn into a (oneshot) comic and I want to share this progress with you.
