Happy WIP build day! I hope you've been looking forward to it. I spent a predominant amount of the last month cleaning up excess files and shrinking down the game size while also cleaning up bugs, but there's still plenty that is all brand new and leaving Stray in quite the precarious situation! The LEWD EDITION will be arriving in the next post!

A few of the Lewd Edition images tonight will be worked on, and I have to finish the poster for this month's promotion. Early stream end tonight, finishing around 8-8:30 due to Holiday havok and needing to get the next game build finished for Sunday.

Minigame work

I've been thinking at length about minigames and 'Press X to struggle' when it comes to situations in the game. I'm still not satisfied with the minigame that'll be coming in the next update for this little scene, but as with everything that's a work in progress, the steps necessary to reach a satisfying ending start with the first foot forward. Look forward to it!

The Devil Dogs are not in any way a special breed of animal created by Dom. They are, much in fact common prisoners in his correctional facilities. Dom demands strict obedience, and thus trains the devil dogs to follow every tiny command he gives. Even one paw out of place, whether their fault or not, receives strict punishment.

There are five facilities within 50 miles of Breeg where Edglings are corrected. Four have been attacked and decimated in the last 2 months. Saint O's was attacked en masse by Eubi, the most recent and destructive attack, resulting in the shut down of the facility and the escape of many strays. The 5th and still standing is the Bastille, personally overseen by Dom, one of the five lords of Breeg. No one has ever escaped Dom's personal watch.

That is, until now.

Discord issues

Hey everyone! I just wanted to update you as I had intended to have the official discord set up a few days ago, as it seems like a thing people want. It SEEMED like it was straight forward, and I have a discord set up with some added lore bits and information buuuuut... 

I keep trying to add the patreon bot to the discord server which is suppose to allow patrons onto the server securely and it's not working. Should be straight forward, reads that way and maybe I'm missing something...

Dom and Dollface, first met Antagonists.

Alrighty, Patreon characters are done, maps are done, just have to finish up a few more Npc sprites and some bust art for a few other notable characters. This next update has Stray finding out the ultimate danger of Edglings, when they're pushed too far! Dollface (Seen above in a fine yellowed taffeta dress) and Dom (Seen above in chains, leather and various gasmasks) will make an appearance as the epic journey gets underway! 

Clean ups and Platforming Adventures

Nothing visually to show just yet, just updating you all with what I've been working on. This month's update to Cat/suit isn't as expansive as the last two were, I mean to go back through and clean up all the leftover bugs and glitches and graphical issues caused by my rapid and tight development. Things like the battle sprites not switching at the wrong time and such. Cat/Suit Weekly Asset Livestream!

Ok, so today was super bad (long story short car is dead and I had to manually replace a battery by lugging a dead 10 year old one across town, that is on top of a big ol' pile of other terrible things) BUT! AH! AAAAAAH! The patreon passed 1,000$!

That means I can finally stop stressing so much next month and actively work on Cat/suit without having to fret about starving to death or having my internet shut off (again)! It ALSO means I can begin planning the SECOND GAME prope...

The 0.012 LEWD EDITION fixed build will be up tomorrow!There were a few bugs with the parallax maps that were found mid-upload of the build, so I elected to keep it from finishing so that a proper upload could be made. 

Untitled Horror Game Concept Stream

I've been working tirelessly on Cat/suit for the last week, so tonight for this weekly livestream I'm going to switch gears and get some work done on a horror game I plan to develop in tandem with Cat/suit once I get enough freedom to just do games full time.

(FIXED) Cat/Suit WIP Build 0.012

Ok, took a while to upload it but the normal (Non-Lewd) edition of this WIP build is fixed up and uploaded for playing! 

The fixed up LEWD EDITION will be up as well later on tonight. It's done, but the upload was interrupted halfway so I have to reset it. As I will be streaming for the 5$ and above tiers tonight I will be waiting until after the stream is done to begin its upload. 

Cat/Suit Build 0.012 LEWD EDITION (MAC)

Ok, took a long time to upload, but for all the mac users who support Cat/Suit and my game making dreams, as promised the Mac edition of the game build is up for download! The Mac editions  will always come out the day after the primary edition of the game is uploaded, its just a consequence of the time it takes to upload it.

Updated WIP 0.012 Build tomorrow, save fix

Alrighty, I'm going to get a new WIP 0.012 build up tomorrow, I now know what causes the load file problem and a host of other small glitches. Though the current uploaded build is entirely playable, look forward to tomorrow's with the fixed issues addressed!

So it has been brought to my attention by one of my favorite commissioners that I should totally set up a discord server. Now... I've thought it over, and the thought fills me with absolute dread. Also, bear with me because I'm running on 4 hours of sleep over the last uh... 36 hours. So I'm sassy.

SO. Why does me setting up a discord server fill me with dread? 

Because I am terrible at being social.

A Princess in Name Only (SPOILERS)

I have been sitting on these for like... a very long time. Well, what feels like a long time. Maybe more like 10ish days. So (Spoilers!) 

Just like the many tried and true JRPG tropes, Princess, Stray's MORTAL NEMESIS joins the party! For a little bit at least. Will she become a friend? Or did I just do all the work of animating amazing custom battle sprites just to throw a red herring at people of who the other final party members will be? Am I such a troll that I would spend 12 h...

Happy WIP BUILD DAY!

So I've learned over the last two months a few things about indie game development... One is that it is exhausting. Two is that it's 100x the work than being just an artist. Seriously, I feel like my IQ has jumped 50 points just from all the spiderwebbing (pun intentional) I've had to do to learn the ins and outs of game developing and how to make a game. Three is that crunch time is definitely a thing. The last... 4 days? Yeah... four. I have sat in my work chair, gotten four hours of sleep ...
