The goal of this page was to get Salvadora and Finch to discover each other's civilian identities, and since they're both good guys, it had to be on accident, so I just had them have the same idea of where to go to get out of costume.

This page (and the episode at large) is using a revolving door approach where one character leaves the scene and another enters.
One of the things I like about writing Jean is how she's often self-defeating. Her plan probably wasn't going to work anyway due to how transparent it was, but telling Salvadora was the icing on the cake.
Pulchritudinous has really come into her own in my head, as the sanctimonious hypocrite, and that will show up as she plays her role in this episode.

It was fun to see get this turned from a script into a page. The plot of this episode is various characters interrupting Salvadora's lunch, the first being Jean.
If you look in the script, the description of Salvadora's order, specifically her drink, may seem weird. It's an inside joke referencing this video.

The goal of this issue is primarily to establish Finch as a regular character. She has already been established in the world as just another hero, so how do we bring her more to the forefront? By having her team up with Salvadora, of course!
