Rain at last!

In the last couple of days we've had some showers at least! I'm so glad, the land really needs it. I love to see the droplets on the leaves... little pearls of beauty!, and walking on wet soil!

May you have a joyful Sunday!

Sea storm arriving

A few days ago we visited a new beautiful beach. Even more beautiful because it was empty. Firstly because it was very early in the morning, and then because the weather was not beach-weather for most people.

It was wonderful to be there and witness how the weather and sea changed in a few hours. The most delicious swim on arrival, with playful waves, thick water that really embraces the body, tasty light... Then, next dip feeling the storm arriving, feeling drizzle, wind, change in t...

Friday feeling

of exhaustion.
River bed holding my weight,
my toes.
Water waking up my senses,
making my inner eyelids wetter
when I look underwater.
Surrendering into this space,
giving myself time and space to digest,
to rest, to not do anything but this.
For a while.

What are you drawn to do, or not to do, today?

Delightful

Yesterday's weather in the afternoon was simply the best day of the summer. Very warm (not boiling hot), with warm breeze all around. Just swimming in that air was incredibly pleasurable. The whole atmosphere was inviting to surrender. The light was golden, soft... the river glimmering green. Abundance of sensory treats. Abundance of arousal. A totally ecoerotic, and ecosexual afternoon

Does this ecstatic feeling resonate with you when you are in nature sometimes?

Blessed Lughnasadh/Lammas!

For those in the northern hemisphere, Lughnasadh blessings and for those in the southern hemisphere, blessed Imbolc! The Celtic wheel of the year keeps turning...

This morning sun was illuminating a dear place in the river for me. It's a big block of red clay from where I start swimming every day. A ritual. It's getting very smooth and slippery, letting it shine even more with this gorgeous autumnal light this morning. Radiating light and abundance. Special synchronicity with today's s...

My previous post was not meant to be picture-less. The opposite! My internet connection is not great sometimes!

So the text applies to these pictures!

(self) body image

Posting these pictures is a big thing for me...

The self-voices that accompanied pretty all my life judging my body (you're too fat/broad/chubby..., your legs are too big blablabla) are still there sometimes... As a tennager and young woman my strateges to tackle them were very different: not coming from a place of care or love, they were self-destructive. My body weight fluctuated massively from time to time, my dieting and my exercise regime could be brutal; all that. I lived not lo...

Home

This river is home. I spend quite of lot of time here, daily. Not just swimming but also rewilding myself and rewilding the area. The bottom of the garden connects with the public land of the riverbed. We've been working in this liminal zone for months, little by little, making it more accessible for going into the river, and doing changes such as getting rid of masses of brambles, 2m high nettles (I love them, but they are not very friendly to enjoy spending time there doing gardening and ch...

Bearded lady

I like the effect of the still dry hair before immersing myself in the river. Moments of exchange between different viscosities and densities, matter... Playful selfies that remind me of beards, the beard of elders, those who deeply know and who do not need to say much, those who transmit with their presence. Those who are old, and innocent, and playful, and serious... at the right time.

Damselfly connection II

And she's gone!

Damselfly connection

Today is one of those days that I could stay in the water the whole time. Really hot and humid. Gladly I can take dips in-between tasks.
In one of the dips I was in the womb pool admiring the little trouts and suddenly a damselfly came to me a few times. Love them; that intense blue, the intricacies of the wings... Definitely faeries' means of transport!

Morning lovely earthlings!

As soon as I opened the window this morning I sensed deep gratitude and love, for this life in this incredibly beautiful world, sharing it with humans (you're part of it if course!) and other-than-humans. Each of us weaving our part of the cosmic tapesty, intertwining our paths somehow, mixing our stories, sharing our joys and sorrows, inspiration, landscapes...

Deep love comes with deep grief at times, not today though. Pure love

White clay bath

A few days ago we took white clay to the beach and this happened! Fun times (The look of my face in the third picture looks quite macabre tough!). I bet it's a great natural sun protection! It was great to go into the sea afterwards. Natural and free spa treatment

Waking up II

Waking up

Walking up in the water as sun wakes up too, behind clouds that might not vanish today. Admiring the bottom of the river, now without tadpoles. The soil is covered by tiny jumping frogs, so much that feels trippy. Contrast between my slowness today and their activity!

First thing

For me the first thing in the morning is a dip. When I wasn't living by the river it used to be a cold shower or yoga. Practices to start the day energised (or awake at least!)

Have you got a morning practice?

Paradise beach II

This place has captivated me... I stayed in my van so I could come here first thing in the morning, sleeping amongst pine trees, not a sound. Hours of sun and sea, in and out of water, with big playful waves! A real dance, and communion to get in and out without being knocked down! I love that, getting to know the language of waves, their rhythm as much as possible, and dance with them. Delicioso

See called me and I listened. Glad that I did. Yesterday in a shop someone mentioned this place, a sign. Today I could not resist to visit. Quite quiet because of the descent. Well worth it. Seaweed lungs. Sunset feel. Sooo sweet
