Cypress sktchpg Update 🐮 (Moodity) + Mothman Sketch

Hey guys! Just another update on the Cypress page! All the lighting has been laid out so now it's just painting. I wanted to go with a light source that I haven't done in a while, which is one that is coming from the direction of the viewer. (As if you were shining a flashlight on the subject) It was weird getting my mind into not having a huge amount of sharp cast shadows, like with more of a side lighting. After some time though, I got back into the swing of it I think 😂

Some Sketches! (Moodity Ahead)

He guys! Hope your start of the week has been going great so far! Just sharing some sketches for now. The first one was actually an initial sketch idea for the St Paddy's Day piece, but I ended up going with the idea I went with. Instead of wasting it though, I decided to just repurpose it and turn it into a random coloured figure piece 😂

As for the werewolf sketches, they were just warmups for today 👍

Edit: Made a few changes after looking at it with some fresh eyes, mainly in the hand. the way the lighting was hitting, it looked like the hand was bent inward at an unnatural angle. I only wanted a slight bend in the wrist, which meant that the back of the hand should be mostly in shadow (like how I had it initially). There were a few other changes, such as knocking back the specular highlight on the forearm of his rig...

Hey guys! Got back home late last night, went to bed, and woke up refreshed and ready to work on some Asterius 😌

Just a couple more sketchy ideas for you guys. This time, they are more casual poses.

I think part of me is having a bit of trouble in deciding what direction to go in. (Probably partly due to not having played Hades lol) I have seen some game clips and interactions though, so I'm at least partly aware of what his demeanour is like, and I'm trying to reflect that in the body language and expressions 😂

A piece that's been in the works for a bit now for my bro Hash, featuring the repose after a sparring match and some bandaging 😂

There were a few ideas that were brought to the table, many chaotic and funny ones too, but ultimately we went with the one that was more calm and serene (a rare moment for Sobek apparently 😂)

Hey guys! just sharing some sketches that I've done. The most recent being that Zankies has made me aware of some new official art that's dropped for the Hades games, specifically the one of Theseus and Asterius 😂 Figured I'd do a bit of fanart 😌 I wasn't liking the more front facing one that I did first (third image), so I redid it with a new pose (to more closely resemble the official art) and I like it better 👍

Just a bit of design exploration for one of DerpyDrake's characters. The idea was to have a more big cat inspired gargoyle, and this was the end result! I also played with the idea of like an oxidized copper or bronze in terms of colour scheme 👍

While this guy is meant to be a future travelling companion for Cypress, it turns out having an opportunity to play a one shot as him was the kick in the pants I needed to get him designed 😂 Most of his design inspiration came from geckos, which is why the very first sketch didn't fit quite right. I wanted to fix his proportions so that he almost looked like and upright walking lizard 🦎 That's where the new sketch came from lol

Cypress's MOOOth - Sculpt (WIP)

Hey guys! Another quick update on the moo sculpt! 🐮 I have given the boi a mouth (teefs included)! 😌

Process for this was pretty straight forward. First I masked off the whole of the face except for the lower jaw, then used the gizmo too to hinge the jaw downward. Cleaned up the new space where the stretched polygons now were, then did the same process, only leaving the mouth gap unmasked. Used the gizmo again to push that area inward to make the mouth cavity. Cypress Sculpt Update (Moodity Warning) 🐮

Hey guys! One more update on this guy before the end of the month!

So after the last update, I'd gotten some advice from Nicolò and Kuro on adjusting the surface so that it wouldn't seem as "plastic" looking. Also, some of the advice from Nico also lead to me figuring something else, which I'll get into later.

Digital Cypress Sculpt WIP 🐮 (moodity warning)

Hey guys! Just another update on the digital sculpt of the moo man! I've gone over a lot of different areas (basically the whole body) to refine the anatomy. Specifically in the face though, I had to alter the angle of the orbital areas of the face, sort of "flattening" it a bit, like you might see on a dog.
