Sims 3 - Advent calendar 2022 - day #12
A wine/chocolate cake offering you chocolate cake slices.
(Edited the 11th of December - Please redownload if it caused BetterExceptions in your game!)
(Edited the 12th of December - Did my new version give empty plates?! It did! What a shaaaaame! You'll all deserve a double slice of cake for your patience!)
Biiiiiig news, Sims 3 players: I can now make Sims 3 recipes!!! It opens a whole new world of CC for me! ;)
Today is my first recipe: a wine/chocolate cake (no recipe to learn in a book, but a cooking level 5 is required), you can also find the cake as foodmaker, if you want to use it as decor or as non-spoilable food!:)
Like for any custom recipe, CC Loader is required.
It's hard to show on a so small preview, but the the lace tableclothes and the table runners come into 3 sizes; the tablecloth comes into 5 colors, the tablerunner & table mats comes into several variations, mostly Christmas oriented.

The plates and its wood slice are at table height, so they won't use a slot. The plate is made to cover any default plate, so it looks like your Sims have completely new plates! :)
The plate used to have a slot to put a thing in, like the napkin, but I finally removed it because I can't stand slot snapping in Sims 4, but I made an OMSP, a bit higher than a table, so it can be used to place stuff on the plate, like napkin, gift box, a little decor...

The OMSP can be useful to clutter your table! ;)
Edit of the 6th of December: Doh, I mixed up at the last minute the Sims 4 and the Sims 3 plate position (all my previous tests were good!! *sobs*), so my pla...

Because Sims too need an advent calendar, right? ;)
2022-12-01 10:01:15 +0000 UTC View PostTo find more easily the new content downloaded from the Advent calendar, you can install that collection file (that will need to be updated later); items are sorted by day of download.

- comes in a simply white texture (and invisible, of course), so it doesn't take ages to load wood or geometric patterns catalogs
- no occluder, so it doesn't create shadows when you use it indoors
- no sunlit shadows outdoors
- no footprint, so it doesn't prevent Sims from acting around (sit, walk...)
- narrow, it's easier to select when you have few ones near each o...
I thought I wouldn't be able to make one this year, so I haven't advertised the project, neither asked you suggestions because I wasn't sure to achieve anything.
Now, I have sufficiently worked on my Advent calendar to be 99% sure I'll be able to be ready in time (1% is for if a meteor falls on the house or something like that!)
I can even ask you if you have any suggestions, though I can't guarantee I'll be able to realize them, as many of my "spots" are already busy (...
That previous update with italian food made me want to have MORE lovely italian tableware for my games! So you'll find a full service in 7 variations (plates have more), including functional drinks: coffee & wine. Yessss, it's a bit a niche update, I guess not everybody needs this, but seriously, to give style to a country house, it works great! ;)

I wanted to open a new restaurant in my Sims 4 town, and because in Sims 3, I see lots of gorgeous pictures of Monte Vista (an italian Sims 3 world, for the ones who would only know Sims 4), I wanted to make it italian.
The recipes are inspired by a french "trademark" of pizzeria, Big Mamma, that have several restaurants in Paris but also in London and elsewhere. Anyway... They use a very colorful tableware that I wanted in game! :D

Most of these delicious meals are sadly decorative for Sims 3, but not all of them! You can still enjoy antipasti: mozzarella fritta, focaccia, bruschetta or grissinis!
But they look cool in any pizzeria, or kitchen! :)
