It seems the slot added for the chair booster is a bit too much trouble. Sadly, there's no alternative way to install those.
BUT, instead of replacing chairs with chairs with a slot, I've remade them as different objects, allowing you to install a slotted chair only when you need one. All the slotted chairs have a "slotted-for-chairbooster" in their name, and have a specific tiny mark on their thumbnails, so they're re easy to differenciate from regular chairs in game.

I had planned an update for last Friday but an object still needed some adjustments. Sadly, for the whole past week, my computer didn't let me using any Sims game without crashing to reboot. Now that ours toddlers have new drinks and meals, here's new seats and new tables!
A cute tiny chalkboard table with school-like mini-chairs, the Mini Chair is now REALLY a mini chair, with a tray table, plus two chair boosters (well, even 3 as the cushion exists in EA size and 85% smaller). But warning, chair boosters require

As announced in the September project post, it seems impossible to make custom food for toddlers in Sims 3. Unlike other foods, the game considers them like social interactions, not like "real food".
So, I've made the toddler meal tray as deco only. You still get a baby-steamer working like an Arsil's food generator.
