I handed over Part 1 of Chapter 81 to my editors today, and I've made a good start on Part 2. All being well, I aim to have the chapter completed by about Tuesday next week.

Another reference post, listing the size of the different ships in the Terran Federation military.
The Raptor is bigger than normal gunships and is specially designed to deploy special forces. It has the weapon mounts of a gunship but limited troop carrying capacity as well. Dropships tend to have minimal weaponry and are devoted purely to troop deployments.

Each chapter is roughly 30k words, so I've started splitting them in half, and give my editors part 1, while I write the rest of part 2. It works well, because they can point out anything important I might have missed, giving me time to add it to part 2, if I can't fit it into part 1.

I've written 20k of chapter 76 so far, and I'm settling down to write some more this evening. I had hoped to be finished by now, but unfortunately my keyboard died over the weekend! I've replaced it with a basic logitech one, but it's just a temporary replacement for the moment until the one I ordered online arrives.
I suspect the chapter will be finished by the end of the week.

Hello again!
I sketched this out when I was planning the second Invictus refit at Genthalas. The dotted lines represent the points where the Invictus was cut in half, with the new 250m section added to the middle.
The six rectangles in the topdeck represent the turret wells for the new Heavy Cannons. There are now two additional engines on the rear, and I've marked on the Primary Hangar, and the Fore-Airlock.

Attached is the document I wrote prior to the refit. It includes the weapon loadouts during the various refits, and also Rachel's (my) plan for coordinating all of the work needed during the refit.
