Did you ever had a day when you thought that getting up from bed in the morning was generally a bad idea?
Well... I'm having one such day today.
I woke up in the morning only to realize, that one of the 8TB drives in my RAID5 array has failed during the night and the array is in a degraded mode. During the afternoon I was able to purchase a new drive and replace the failed one. So the array is now slowly rebuilding and 330 EUR is missing from my wallet...

So, after a week, I managed to swing by my home to check on things as I'm staying with my mother these days and helping her out with anything as, after the spine surgery she had last week, she is still very much in need of help.
Doctors claim that the surgery was a success, yet my mother says that at the moment, she feels worse than before the procedure. Hopefully it is just a temporary state and given more time to heal things get better.

Sorry for posting this page so late. I thought I have it scheduled and apparently it was not.
I'm at home with my ill mother these days who due to her spine injury is mostly immobile, so I'm taking care of her. She should go for a surgery next week. That is if the hospitals stay open for procedures and won't shut down due to COVID just as it happened during the spring.
