Chapter 11 is a little emotional, so I prepped for it by sketching some expressions on paper. There is something soothing about going back to my roots of traditional art.

First part of chapter 9! I've shortened the updates on webtoons and tapastic so I can post more often but on patreon I want to be able to post longer updates bi-weekly so it has a better flow. Let me know if you like that or would prefer shorter but faster updates. :)

I recently stumbled over my first attempt at drawing the cover of IDCC and decided to compare it to the updated version and wow there's a difference!
I believe that approximately one year separates the two versions.
I'm not sure how many of you know this but I didn't start publishing IDCC online until I had finished 5 chapters.
The first version of the cover was drawn alongside chapter 1. Back then I thought for sure that was going to end up as the final cover but once I was ready to pu...
I'm 100% sure their heights are inconsistent throughout the comic but this is to give you an approximate idea so don't crucify me, lol.

Remember the WIP I posted last September? I originally wanted to post it on webtoons as soon as I reached 20k followers but then the problems with my hands started and I had to put it on hold. My hands are not healed yet but by working on the picture little by little I was finally able to finish it. So here is a preview! As you all know, IDCC is drawn in purple and white but up to chapter 5 I was debating whether or not I should keep it that way. As manga traditionally is drawn in black and white, I wasn't sure if purple would be too unconventional. I sent the image above to some friends to hear their opinions and received a variety of replies but in the end I settled on keeping the comic in purple as I liked how soft it looked in comparison.

For this month's bonus I decided to show you what IDCC looked like in its early stages. In the beginning I was still unsure whether or not I should draw the comic in color. I thought of 5 alternatives:
1. Draw the comic in black and white
2. Draw the comic in color
3. Just color a few objects in the comic (such as trees)
4. Just color a few pages per chapter
5. Draw the comic in dark purple and white
In the end I settled for option 5 as I knew it'd save me a lot of time...
