This is now becoming a pretty big issue and we're going to be looking at how we can do things differently to address the problem. (Though our options are fairly limited.) This appears to be a problem affecting lots of creators and the only truly effective solution, the 'pay up front' mechanic, is still in beta and not widely available.

Patreon Fee Changes (Important)

We're not sure how aware you guys are, but there's been a change in the way Patreon assigns its fees between creators and patrons. The way they worded it was all grandiose and swell sounding to us, the creators, but after a thorough read we can't help but consider: How the heck is this supposed to help us (the little guys without a billion patrons) make money?
