Tassi 08 + Bonus + Yokko 15 Animation

I was ready this year, I saw Halloween approaching and got to work on drawing Magister Tassi.

Also it was time to make the Yokko Animation public, so enjoy that as well! It's a little funny that the poses for these two are fairly similar, but it happens.

Tsukino 01 + Bonus

The next Monster Hunter is getting closer so my interest in drawing a Palico became sufficient enough to draw this.

I'd have struggled with this character before but she has those Braixen legs so I'm well practiced.

Jazz 01 + Bonus

My duty as a Rule 34 artist was invoked recently. I had to draw this Gecko.

Yokko 15 Animation Preview

Seeing Yokko without her accompanying tentacles is a little unusual, but in a way it's also quite nice!

Of course, they're absolutely there in the animation.

Frilli 03 + Bonus + Takke & Unshiu 01 3D Bonus

I decided to re-pose Takke and Unshiu and I'm happier with it now, so I included the higher res of that as a bonus here because I was going to post them publicly today anyway.

I'm actually quite happy with the render set-up of these 3D things I make. There's very little I have to do manually at this point, and I more or less can just press "render" and get nice results.

Braixen Sketch 04 + Lopunny Sketch 01

I wanted to draw something simpler this week, which meant I managed to actually finish two drawings!

My quest to practice my Lopunny drawings feels like it's paying off. I'm hoping I'll feel confident in drawing her like when I draw Braixen soon. I imagine... Gardevoir is next on the list for practice.

Anyway, I've started up my next Asura animation too. I'm currently animating the broader motion of it.

Takke & Unshiu 01 3D + Bonus

She's done! Practically at least. Like I should clean up the rig a little but she's ready to go.

This pose feels a bit awkward, but I was sort of hurrying to make something to render for this weekend. I added Unshiu because I have this power now.

The turnaround is a pretty big file for a gif, but I suppose it's not bad considering the pixel count. There's an animated PNG attached if you want a turnaround without the necessary dithering of a GIF.

Zetta 03 + Bonus + Netto 17 Animation

Now seems like a good time to release the Netto Animation, as this is an Asura Post, after all. Enjoy!

I hope the Zetta drawing is also satisfactory. Most of my thought process this week was "I'm going to draw an Asuran Butt".

Akli 13 + Bonus

Oops I drew Akli again.

I've been making a concerted effort with my 3D Takke model again this week, and she now has a significant amount of her rig made. This is good.

I've upgraded my version of Blender from 3.3 to 4.2 and everything seems stable so far, but I'm somewhat ready to go back to the old version if things don't work out right away, I'd rather actually get some characters animated than spend time trying to figure out what's changed in the software I'm using.

Tiskka 06 + Bonus

I suppose I can't help myself, I still quite enjoy drawing the Vulpera. It probably helps that they're Fennecs.

Netto 17 Preview

Here's a little one frame peek at the Netto I've been working on. It's my usual type of loop, and I'm pretty happy with how it went.

I'll be releasing the animation more broadly in a.. few weeks I think, and you'll get the high-res version here when when I do!

August 2024 Animation Poll

OK folks, It's time for polls again!

I'm not being too specific for this one, just to give me a bit of room to ease myself back in to the rhythm of things, but I definitely want to vibe check my audience for what they actually want from me.

The actual animation could be in 2D or 3D, really depends on what I have available to me.

When I'm finished, I'll publish a frame of the animation to the Patron Tier as a preview, and then release the whole thing some time after it first ...

Timed Exclusivity

I'll be posting my stuff more thoroughly outside of Patreon from now on, but it'll be after a delay. Currently a few weeks, perhaps a few months, I'll see what feels right. This means that my Patrons will see my stuff as it's made, and then it'll trickle out to my public socials at a later date....

This feels... weird? Like, there's barely any artistic liberty taken here. These exact armour pieces are in the game. I've won. I got what I wanted after 8 long years.

But realistically my work will never be done so long as they haven't added a tanktop for the Asura to wear. I'll reconsider crumbling in to dust when that happens.

Midna 07 + Update

It was required of me to draw Midna. I don't make the rules, I just follow them.

Also just a heads up, I'll be making some changes on my Patreon soon, hopefully positive! I want to get back in to animations on the regular, as well as potentially doing voting and the like again. I'm going to be reassessing my tiers with this in mind, though changes to the "Enthusiast" tier will be minimal.

This asura has a different line of dialogue if you speak to her as a non-Asura, and that's enough for me.

I've technically drawn this Asura before, many years ago, because a lot of NPCs look the same, but that one was Exiffa.

I continue to lament that my favourite 'mon is so nuanced and tricky to draw.

Oh boy it's time to sweat an Akli drawing again.

I've been trying a different shading technique lately, which is to say I've been shading it more or less the same but with a new brush. This has the effect of making my shading slightly rougher, but in a way I like a lot more. I feel like my rendering has been approaching some sort of "realism", but I would much prefer to have a more stylised shading style. I'll see where I end up I suppose.

The shading is quite heavy on this one, and I usually pull back a little at this point, but I kinda like how it looks.

Tupradu 08 + Bonus Braixen Sketches

Periodically I work up the courage to draw my Tiger lady. All those markings and stripes are a lot to deal with in one drawing. I feel like it's worth it though.

Aside from that, I actually sketch a ... surprising amount of Braixen on my own time. They're almost always for personal practice, but I wanted to see what they'd look like "rendered" in a quick and easy fashion, so here's two of them as a little extra bonus. Perhaps I'll add more to future posts.
