Lopunny 01 + April 2023 Sketches 01

I finally finished an illustration.

I've been making steady progress with a few of my pieces, and I've sketched a few more ideas too. At this point I have made more than I'm showing, but I figure I can probably keep some stuff a secret until it's done by now.

Side note: Wow I'm drawing a lot of Pokémon. I'm very susceptible to whatever game I'm playing at the time it appears. Shame that Pokémon Y doesn't have a few of my favourites like Lopunny, Lurantis and Salazzle though.

March 2023 Works in Progress 02

I'm back. Had to take another short intermission to get better again. Fortunately this will eventually be fixed as I have things all booked in advance. I'll put out what art I can in the meantime.

Not a lot of progress, but I bought a copy of Pokémon Y whilst I was recovering over the last week and a half so I'm fuckin' super horny for Braixen right now.

Renamon 3D WIP 05

I got quite a bit of inking done this week, though I didn't finish anything, so as a substitute, I wanted to finally render some higher quality images of my Renamon model.

I wanted to get a close up of the things you might want to see, so I hid her neck fluff and tried to get some good angles with nice lighting. Anyway, I hope you like it. 

I'm definitely aware it can still look a bit rough in places because high quality renderers barely know what to do with low polygon model...

March 2023 Sketches 01

Oh look, more sketches!

It's perhaps a little problematic that I've spoiled the next three months of finished Illustrations but uh... That's fine, right? I've actually now started to ink these sketches. Hopefully they turn out well and are impressive enough!

I'm also now like, free from my shackles and able to get better. There's a limit to how well I can actually get, you see I've had underlying problems since before I even started this Patreon, but considering how reliable I was...

February 2023 Sketches 02

More sketches for you all, plus my progress on the Renamon model, who is very near completion, at least visually.

I'm designing another Asura OC because of course I am, plus I put a giant Klonoa collar on Lopunny because of course I did. I have this fox OC that I want to actually figure out, and I threw in a sketch of Unshiu for good measure.

February 2023 Sketches 01

Sketching is the part of the illustration process that I enjoy the most. It's deeply satisfying to see the image in my head manifest itself on the canvas, and "sculpting" the sketch lines to refine the pose is a nice, relaxing experience.

To that end, here's five sketches. I'll finish some or maybe all of them at some point, but for now, I'll probably keep doodling some sketches, maybe work on some 3D stuff, and maybe do a bit of linework for this batch of sketches? I'll see how I feel ...

February Update

OK, so I disappeared on the 1st of February. I had a good reason, I went for a check-up at my local Hospital about a pain I'd been feeling and they admitted me immediately. I've been in Hospital for the last 12 days.

I'm home now, as I've been deemed well enough to leave the Hospital and continue my recovery at home, but this isn't to say I'm actually better yet. Suffice to say, I probably have a few weeks left before I'm back to normal.

I'm not going to make some sort of promise ...

I'm a little surprised it's been about two months since I've drawn a Kobold. Anyway that's been fixed now.

It's that time of the year where someone has to show up in the Ancestral Outfit.

Fortunately this year isn't the Year of the Tiger, just the year of the rabbit, so I don't have any other pressing matters.

But ya know maybe I'll create a few Tigers anyway.

Tabba 03 + Bonus + Renamon 3D WIP 03

Tabba is a very simple character to draw right up until I reach her Flower. There's a lot going on with her head. Still, I enjoy drawing her.

I decided to do a bonus variation without the tentacles. I'm not sure if it was a good use of time, but I like how it looks.

As you can also see, progress with the Renamon is coming along nicely. The important thing for me is that I feel like I'm getting better at making 3D models.

The insatiable urge to draw my Tiger lady finally struck, so here she is. Isn't she the cutest. Yes she is.

In other news I continued to chip away at my Renamon model. This part always feels like it's going to take forever as it's basically just carefully placing all the points and lines in such a way that the model is tidy and will bend properly. I paid special attention to the butt on that note, that has to look perfect. I'll get there. I'll keep you all up to date.

A bit of a different Saturday post this time. I really wanted to make headway on that Renamon 3D model as I do quite enjoy creating them and I've been playing the newest Digimon World game at last so I'm someone in the Digi-mood right now.

You might be wondering why I'm making my own model when I think there's probably about a hundred perfectly functional Renamon models out there on the internet I could use, but I really just want a model that fits the low-poly early Playstation aesthet...

Takke 16

Takke looks excruciantingly naked. I know it's because she is, but I usually put something on my characters, like some thigh highs or sleeve gloves. Thing is Takke doesn't wear those things, and her actual outfit covers up her entire torso.

So, enjoy this very straightforward illustration of an Asura.

Akli 07

The theme of Akli is definitely her posing dramatically on a sofa for the time being. It's giving me some good practice with lighting and perspective. Not least because her unbelievably pale scales make her difficult to light properly!

The amount I've thought ahead on this one is pretty significant. I'll see if I can keep the narrative streak going for her.

Autumn 03 + Bonus + October 2022 Pieces

This character was in fact an adopt I bought. Been a long while since that, though. I suppose I was a little worried about drawing them in my particular style, but I guess after a long enough time it stopped seeming like a big deal to draw her naked.

Also, in regards to the poll, I'm quite frankly stunned. I had it in my mind that Renamon would take this easy, I'd made plans! But uh, I guess I shouldn't presume. Still I do rather want to make a Renamon model right now so I gues...

3D Poll for November

I'm going to be a bit busy this month, so this poll is maybe more symbolic than anything. Still, I want to start the model of a furry lass, and these two are the candidates.

As for my other models, I'm currently fixing little issues with Unshiu, and just trundling through the process of getting Deksa's texture in order.

Yokko 14

It felt quite relaxing to draw Yokko again without it being an animation. Being able to slow down a bit and actually render her out with some proper detail was nice!

I absolutely lost track of what to do with her arms though, so they're just sort of behind her head. Should probably have moved them down a bit sooner, but it was a bit late when I noticed they looked kinda awkward.

As an interesting little bonus fact, this means that Yokko and Netto are tied at 14 unique pieces now, ...

Rivet 05

I think I finally managed to draw a Rivet that looks like Rivet. What do you think? That said I've been happy with my drawings of her before, but it always felt like it wasn't actually her and more of an impersonator.
