Laid in Lavender: Chapter Two (cover art)

It's finally done... I extended a piece I made last year to be a wraparound cover like I did for the first chapter. It was surprisingly hard to match up the shading, since so much of it was airbrushed and blurred in.

Unfortunately the CYMK test files for both the previous post and this illustration are kind of upsetting, so I've got to fiddle with things a bit more before I can do anything with them.

Just for fun, I've included the original illustration.

Booties 300819 (life update)

I haven't been around for a couple weeks!! I went on holiday, and now that I'm back I have some exciting news!

I adopted a cat this week! He was a stray who started hanging around my friend's garden, and there was a whole to-do about it but long story short I picked him up yesterday and he's settling in really well. As long as he doesn't have some awful pre-existing condition or my mum's allergies aren't set off too badly by him, it looks like we're able to keep him!

Finished up a commission tonight! A cute ocelot tabaxi using mage hand to peruse his tome. The fur took me a while to figure out - ocelots have a very odd base colour!

Yeah, I'm fully aware Dustin's car doesn't have wing mirrors. He knocked them off driving through a ditch and never got them repaired. Neil's given up on lecturing him about road safety.

I actually finished this on Friday but I was away all weekend and didn't even turn my computer on, let alone update! Nice to escape for a couple days.
