Risa resort: set building progress

Not all the sets I build require propmaking skills, some just require a lot of attention at second hand flea markets!

This yet to be finished set will be a little corner of the Risa resort. To create it I have gathered a lot of wicker furniture that was going to be thrown away or that I found very cheap at second hand markets.

I would have liked to do it more in the middle of summer, but I've been scouring flea markets for 3 months until I found all the pieces I wanted... Now I have all the furniture and wooden carpet I just need to decorate with plants and put some greenery on it!

After putting it off for too many years I'm finally going to do a cosplay that I should have done a long time ago. It's the character that started my love for designing my own retro-futuristic clothes and designs and inspired me too to create my own original character (Vamps from Outer Space) for my retro scifi burlesque and pin-up... Of course I'm talking here about Barbarella, the iconic space heroine from the 60s who was born from the French erotic comic book created by Jean-Claude Forest and who gained worldwide fame thanks to the 1967 movie played by the spectacular Jane Fonda!

I want to make almost all of her outfits from the movie, but I would like to know your opinion on which one you prefer to see first here on Patreon (I will take into consideration the votes but in the end the final decision will depend on how easy it is for me to find the fabrics for each project).

These two pieces are 3D printed and I'm now in the process of putty, sanding, filler and sanding again. Later I will paint them when they are both smooth. And then I'll have to do the foam armor and the sewing part.

Since T'Mir's cosplay has been my cosplay of this year's Star Trek Day and to continue celebrating the anniversary of the TV premiere of the series with you all, I wanted to make this little tribute to the bed sheet scene in the Carbon Creek episode for all my Pin-Up tier subscribers.

At first I was going to make a sequence of photos working with a light behind and creating a few silhouettes on the sheets; but then since it's not a very elaborate set or complicated decoration, I thought that maybe the movement of a video would create a more beautiful effect!

After covering the studio floor with more than 25kilos of sand, this is how the first photos of Leia on the desert set look like.

And Leia's boots are also new! I only need one more element to have this cosplay at last complete and accurate, would you know what it is?

September: Pin-Up sets

About the pinup content for Facehuggers and Xeno Warriors, for this September you have already seen a preview of one of the sets that I will drop!
A few days ago I made a new Slave Leia shoot that will consist on a little what-if photo-story of her in the desert.

I will also say goodbye to the summer with a Star Trek new shoot set in Risa. It will be a studio set decorated and inspired by the Star Trek TNG episode "Captain's Holiday" where Picard goes to Risa.

There will also be a few more cosplay surprises for all tiers and also more pinup surprises. Very soon you will be able to see the new photos and projects! ;)

Today is Judgement Day among Terminator fans as August 29th is the day when Skynet turns self-aware and initiates the nuclear attack (according to Terminator 2).

Oh oh... More alien tentacle action shots!

Creating these scenes was much more complicated than I first thought.

I made 9 tentacles, they are all coated in latex with a two twisted wire core (and foam) to make them fully poseable, so it was easy to keep wrapping them around my body. But to give them different heights and directions they are attached by the end of their wire to two different structures.
 Every time I moved to create different poses I was pushing the tentacles and pulled the structures to the ground... so between that and tearing my suit and adding more slime to the tentacles between takes, this was an extremely time consuming shooting to do. But hey, I really think the result was worth all the work!

Do you ever stare out the window into the darkness to get your thoughts in order?
I look at this photo again and I think I would now add a cup of coffee between my hands, reflecting someone who knows she won't be able to sleep all night and embraces the situation instead of going back to bed to just toss and turn.
