One of the options available in the rendering software I use is to apply a Depth of Field setting to the camera. It's a great tool for adding some realism to an image and subtly encouraging the player to focus on a certain area. It's also finicky and something I don't use as often as I could.

I currently have 555 lines of pure dialogue written so far and while I have quite a ways to go given everything I want to do with this chapter, I think I'm going to be releasing it in smaller chunks. The last two nights I've had my rig churning out renders all night, still going when I wake up, with a long queue still to go as I am creating more every day.
