Echelon - Ch 2

Issac continued to work on his suit for a while alongside his trusty assistant and adorable pet, Nifty. Occasionally he gave out orders to the other assistants in the room, running tests of all sorts and refining whatever he could.

At some point though, he was interrupted. As Issac sat on a chair staring at his suit, he got a message on his own device, his terminal. Reading it, his eyes lit up a bit, and he quickly left the room.

Leaving through the giant mechanical door, he made ...

Echelon - Ch 1

"Dad! You needed me?"

"Yes. Come here."

Within a rural house, a young man called out to his father. The father waved his son over, handing him a list.

"I need you to go to the market and get these things for me."

"Oh. Alright."

The son answered dully, not unhappy, but not excited to have to run an errand.

"I'll go now then."

"Thanks."

The son nodded as he turned. After grabbing a few things, he left the house and hopped into a vehicle. The vehic...

Schedule update...

Sending this warning out in advance. My finals week is next week, so I'm going to be stupid busy.

The two posts prior to this are going to be the only ones for the week. I initially wanted to make up for last week of absence, but I don't know if that's happening, at least not right now. As for Origin Seeker, I'm going to try and get it out by tomorrow, Wednesday.

I've got a few projects, plus my final tests to study for by next week. One of them is an accounting class,...

Dirk prowled through the monster hordes.

He had run up to them, a large area upon the landscape where the generals and armies fought. This area was several square miles large, and even then there wasn't much room to move.

The monsters out there were constantly running around. It was only for a few hours during the night that they retreated and went to sleep, everything becoming quiet. But even then, there would be monsters out patrolling, keeping an eye on the armies of the other ...

Dirk's shortsword cut apart flesh, the rubbery hides of the monsters before him rending in two before spilling blood.

He dodged all the claws that slashed down, all the spells that flew with reckless abandon. The monsters hurt each other more than him with their chaotic attacks. A ball of fire aimed for him would soon hit the monster behind him.

He used these to his advantage. His awareness seemed omniscient as he bounced from monster to monster. He constantly moved forward, wheth...

Hello all.
I just wanted to let everyone know that i wont be posting anything on tuesday. Im currently out on a little work trip, which i started wednesday, and will not be able to touch my laptop until this upcoming Wednesday. Whether i post anything come Thursday is debatable as well, but Im pretty sure ill be able to pull through, at least for Serum.

Until then, enjoy this photo I took of EDC Las Vegas, an awesome rave event that i have to work in instead of enjoy. I swear, my f...

"Once again, you singlehandedly held back the monsters yourself."

"I was responsible for perhaps 40% of the work."

"The fact that you come close to matching an entire organized army of mages is astonishing enough."

Pandora chuckled as Obsidius revealed Dirk's body.

His breathing was steady, though a bit labored. His heart was also beating with powerful pulses.

Dirk's body ached, and all his energy was sapped. He didn't seem to care though, moving as if he didn't ...

"A portal, huh? I knew your Emperor wasn't as stupid as he made himself seem."

Pandora chuckled, her captivating voice lowering the guards of those around her. Her words were anything but soothing though, making some clench their teeth in anger.

But they held it in.

The City Lord had explained his simple plan. Turns out, he was given the materials and personnel necessary to build a teleporter that could connect them to any other teleporter in the Horizon Empire. It was a pre...

OS Chapter 293

Sophia vanished, reappearing amongst her now familiar home of nothingness.

At this point, it felt like everything around her was both real yet virtual. Both a part of the universe yet the mere products of her own thoughts.

Perhaps thankfully though, her abilities were still limited. Her thoughts, her simulations, still lacked the reality of the universe.

Even after Solomon returned to his place, sacrificing himself to hand his abilities to Sophia, she still lacked the depth ...

Pandora managed to convince the City Lord to let Dirk take part in this assassination assignment.

There was only one problem, though. They didn't actually know the exact identity of the monster general. It was hiding somewhere in the midst of the monster hordes. Only by tracking the greatest concentrations of monsters could they guess where the general was.

The City Lord had intended to launch a reconnaissance mission first. The monster general had only begun to appear in the last...

OS - Chapter 292

AN: Posting this one earlier for you guys

That which has never existed, need not be killed.

Luna's heart grew erratic. What did it mean, to wipe something from existence?

To remove all traces of it. All information and connections to reality that something bore.

It required the entire universe to correct itself, generating another timeline in which something simply never existed.

It required even conceptual correction. It was something that ...

Little note...

First, I'll start with an apology. It feels like I've been apologizing a lot lately, but I do feel bad, so here I am again.

Sorry all for not posting another OS chapter on Thursday. Chapter 292 is a bit of a longer one, and I had spent more time than I wanted figuring out its direction. If you haven't already noticed, we're entering the endgame in this story. I'm going to try and write the most suitable and fulfilling ending I can, while leading up to it with similarly suitable ep...

The first checkpoint was a city on the border within Horizon territory. Before the escalating conflict between the humans and vampires, it was a major trading post. The city was very prosperous, especially with the major dungeon not far from it.

But now, the place was on the verge of collapse for that very reason.

Pandora drove a distance away from the massive city, circling the walls that surrounded the place. This was due to the horde of monsters launching a siege on the city. View Post

The route to the Dwarven Haven was long, easily over 3 thousand miles. The trip wouldn't be short.

At least, that was if a normal wagon were traveling this route.

With Pandora's specially constructed car, they could average around 60 miles an hour. While the bumpy roads made the drive rougher and slower than on paved road, they were still moving at a speed far greater than wagons.

Pandora also told him that the car could drive at those speeds for around 8 hours straight. Aft...

OS - Chapter 291

"Alright, I think this is it..."

Sophia mumbled inwardly. She continued to excitedly watch her person.

She had been watching this person for nearly 130 years.

The girl's name was Sophia, just like hers, and she had become a demigod!

Sophia watched as this child grew to become a class 6, forming a soul the normal way. Truly, Dream's way of doing things seemed so infinitely convoluted compared to this simple process.

But the results couldn't compare. While Dream wa...

Dirk was surprised seeing the notifications. Because this was his goal though, he readily accepted.

When he did, the magic circles all activated, the power piercing toward Dirk's soul. Dirk felt a light searing pain before a brand appeared on the back of his right hand holding the blob.

At the same time, the faint connection to the blob strengthened several times over, becoming a full bridge between their souls. Dirk could understand the thoughts and feelings of the blob in that m...

OS - Chapter 290

Luna's armies had gathered. The arrival of the Wanderers was a welcome surprise, but it didn't change what she had to do.

Iris had already begun attacking Heaven in her own chaotic way. She simply led her armies in and attacked head on. She had already taken a few worlds, one of which she ate whole.

She even attacked one of Luna's worlds. Luna was barely able to drive out her armies after battling for a few weeks. The losses made her angry, but there wasn't anything she could do.<...

After two weeks of training, Dirk had officially become a Rook class warrior. This was unheard of for Rank 4's, but he had done it.

Dirk didn't think it was that difficult though. His Anima Resonance Destruction Technique, specifically the blood destruction, gave him the ability to fluidly circulate anima throughout his body. Just finishing blood destruction made him a Knight class capable of creating Aura. The rest came down to his control, and if Dirk was good at anything, it was bend...

"I'm sorry."

"...No, I understand."

Cecilia sighed, wiping the frown off her face.

Dirk had, with great effort, come to her and informed her that she wasn't welcome on this expedition. He explained using Pandora's words that this was their battle to fight since they were now what could only be described as envoys of the primordial dragons.

Of course, Dirk beat around the bush a lot, not wishing to make his mother upset or sad. But Cecilia knew what was going on, and sh...

When Cecilia heard Pandora, she suddenly felt a shiver go down her spine.

A few hundred thousand guns? That was more than enough to equip an army. She truly couldn't imagine the devastation they could cause with that amount of weapons. They would be unstoppable unless the opposing army utilized Rank 5's and 6's.

Suddenly, she was getting a glimpse at how dangerous Pandora was. She had the knowledge of their former world, a world filled with weapons and tools just like this gun. If...

With the opportunity Nill had provided her, Sophia had become a demigod capable of utilizing the power of Time.

Now being capable of reverse-engineering entire worlds and magical systems, Sophia had power that wasn't immediately obvious. It wasn't destructive, or even creative. It was information processing on a transcendental level, but ultimately, it was auxiliary.

What was knowledge if you couldn't do anything with it? Sophia didn't have her own body. She was tied to Dream, a...

Apologies...

On Tuesday I believe I only posted a Serum chapter for the Primordials. I didn't post an OS chap and didn't unlock chapters for the Seekers.

This was on purpose, though I should have said something earlier. At some point I found out that the Seekers were a chapter ahead, and I don't know how that happened. Combined with my hectic schedule plus a light sickness, I just shook my head and gave up for the day, letting the one scheduled Serum chapter release.

Dirk spilled everything that happened to him while at Asura's mountain. His two and a half years of hell, along with the horrible curse that sealed his eyes.

Pandora was quite surprised. She couldn't help but reaffirm in her mind how unlucky Dirk was. To think he got kidnapped and trained to be a killer in two different lives. While it ended much better this time around, it was clear that he was deeply affected by Asura's torture.

She didn't say much in comfort. There was nothing ...

Alice appeared in the spire, letting out a deep sigh.

She took a seat next to Dream's chair, his body still continuously withering away.

She had just gotten back from a long day of assassinating influential demigods who got in Luna's way, and a few more worlds came under her control as a result. By this point, Luna merely had to appear above a world and let her voice be heard. Her Rule skill would do the rest, the denizens of those worlds coming under her control. They became fa...

Over the next two weeks, the only thing Dirk did was condense the mana within his mana hearts. And with the liquid mana in the room, this was made extremely easy for him.

It was both a gradual and quick process to strengthen his mana hearts. However, Dirk quickly encountered a roadblock. He had forgotten, but he couldn't control dark mana. Eldritch Primordial still didn't let him.

So this meant Dirk had to do battle. After spending time condensing his other mana hearts, Dirk attem...

Not long after Luna left, Vursoid appeared in front of Dream. He wasn't the only one. The rest of the asura gods appeared as well.

7 gods stood around Dream, who continued to sit lazily in his chair. Truly, any demigod standing in here now might pass out from the stifling Wills. But Dream remained unaffected, simply because he understood far too much about Will.

He scratched his head.

When Dirk felt his soul tremble, his awareness was actually cast into the Mana Dimension. He could see Eldritch Primordial, and he radiated pure hate.
