American Isekai - Chapter 140

When Umara returned to the Capitol, she gave me the news.

I knew the Duchess was trying to get me under her wing, but I didn’t know much about how all that worked. Either way, it seemed I wouldn’t be. But she assured me that it wouldn’t all be that bad.

It seemed the bigwigs had their eyes on me. I was getting used to it, as well as the trouble it usually came with. But now, it seemed that the attention would be more beneficial than not. If everything I was being told was tr...

Notice to all Primordials!

Hello all! I'm pleased to announce a new update.

Recently I was going through and cleaning up my Patreon. Things like updating my about page because I hadn't touched it in like a year. And while looking through my two tiers and noticing how bland they were, I also noticed that the bang for buck for Primordials was off.

So I'm simply going to compensate by offering more.

Which means more chapters! I'm bumping the Primordial tier up from 10 advance chapters t...

American Isekai - Chapter 139

Week by week passed, with generally nothing eventful happening.

The Magisterium’s graduation was a big event, but even that was dampened significantly given what recently happened. A highlight of the graduation was always the presentation of the fourth year class, including the pride of the Magisterium, the Elites. They would have ceremonies displaying their accolades and speaking of their achievements, impressing all those of the capitol who could come to watch. It was an event only ...

The warlock within the Tavera Estate’s logistics building was able to easily crack the two spatial storages we brought to him. With that, we had access to all the contents within both, and we found quite the haul.

For one, there was a flat amount of gold in there amounting to around 250 thousand, which already made everything worth it. Then there were some books for warlocks as well as documents regarding Clockwork Association activities. Finally, anything else in there were either cl...

I woke up to the feeling of squirming. Since I was completely nude I was naturally more sensitive, not to mention the memories of the night before presenting themselves in full erotic clarity the moment I gained a fraction of my consciousness back.

I looked down to find Umara shifting so she could sit up.

After some time, she slowly turned around, the two of us making eye contact and my small grin turning to a wide beam when I saw her flushed face.

“Well good morning, darl...

Tana was awake and Feiden had arrived in the Capitol. Although Tana would need to go back to her parents estate to check in, she would be coming right back.

There wasn’t much time until graduation. As of now, we wouldn’t actually need to attend. Apparently all of the fourth years who survived were having issues even if they didn’t gaze upon Anarchy, so ...

AN: Bonus chapter today. My Editor in Chief is being a generous man.

Umara and I sat against the wall of a building. Across the street from us was the very warehouse we were going to raid.

Since this was now a cooperative mission, I decided to give her a rundown of how I did things. It wasn’t like I had a system or anything, but I needed the two of us to be in sync. If anything went wrong, it would go wrong fast and the two of us would need to react properly. View Post

American Isekai - Chapter 134

Hearing my curse, Aki suddenly sprung up and started running around the shop, ushering people out.

“I’m so sorry! I need to close for today! Please come back tomorrow!”

She didn’t listen to any protests, doing her best to clear the shop until she shut the door and made it dead silent.

I turned to her, taking off my new mask and looking at her own.

That’s when she took off her’s in kind, placing it on the side of her head to reveal her Asian features.

Umara was right. One thing I hadn’t really thought of until after the fact was how all of the stuff that was in my storage chest was still back at the overrun base.

We obviously didn’t have the time nor mind to try and retrieve it, so it was probably sitting among thousands of monsters at the moment.

That meant I had very few spare clothes. I never had many belongings in the first place, but now what little I had was gone. The only solace was the fact that I still had everythi...

It really was a big fat can of bullshit.

To say I got nothing done was actually an understatement. After spending almost three entire days looking at my advancement formation, I feel like I actually got more confused than I was before.

I knew which cluster of formations to start from, but there were still four formations within that cluster and I had the freedom to start from whichever one first. It didn’t matter, but that only made it more difficult.

Each formation within...

“Grand Duke Anselma, thank you for coming on such short notice.”

Talexia and Ikhor both greeted the man at their door. He came alone, but his mere presence was far beyond what most could ever hope to witness.

Grand Duke Anselma, an Authority 12 Warlock and one of the strongest people in the world by virtue of his knowledge.

He was supposed to have three perfect affinities and enlightenments, as well as a fourth affinity that was infinitely close to perfect. He had effect...

The amalgamation of terror. The embodiment of malice.

Anarchy was more than just a lack of order. It was the insanity that wrought the ruin of all things stable. It destroyed peace, disrupted harmony, defaced all form of law.

It made friends, lovers, and family turn on each other as if death had suddenly become the sole goal of the living. It turned the desire to protect into the desire to kill. And it unlocked all inhibitions that might prevent someone from carrying out their new...

Feiden and Vetsmon walked over from inside the medical ward. I stood to greet them, seeing Feiden’s depressed face.

I sensed something was wrong so I went over and pat his shoulder.

“Hey, what’s wrong?”

“...Mira.”

“Mira…”

It took a second to register before I remembered Mira was Feiden’s girlfriend.

My heart sank as he continued.

“She… wasn’t there. Not in the Steed, not in the group that abandoned us. She’s… not among th...

I almost didn’t react when I saw everyone abandon us. We had killed our momentum so there was no way we could recover from this and continue running.

I had taken a chance in the hopes that everyone would be able to use their brains enough to deduce what I had. Perhaps, in a moment of crisis, they would band together. It was what we were taught at the Magisterium, a value that had been instilled into them for even longer than it had me.

But when it really came down to it, I suppo...

Maxwell’s head snapped upward from his desk, a shooting pain travelling across his mind like lightning.

He couldn't even bother grunting in pain, simply placing a hand against his head before jumping up from his seat.

He walked to one of the many bookshelves in his room, grabbing one dark red book and pulling.

The book activated a switch, shifting the bookshelf and revealing a small teleporter platform.

He didn’t hesitated to step onto it, leaving footprints in the...

“What a cheeky girl. Ignoring me before going away on a trip.”

Duchess Talerria smirked before putting down her Aerial, her messages to her daughter being left on read.

Her husband shrugged from his side of the dinner table.

“Maybe she’s getting chummy with the boy.”

“Oh no, she knows exactly what she’s doing. I know there are a dozen different people who want to know where she got those spells from, but I thought she’d at least be open with her mother....

Over the next two days, I did exactly as I said I would and relaxed. Of course, that didn’t mean nothing was happening around me.

For one, those posters I saw on the streets earlier had spread like a virus. They were everywhere, on almost every building, and scattered across the streets. At some point I turned more concerned than dramatic. I didn’t believe this was happening for no reason.

I just didn’t know why, and since I wasn’t searching, I couldn’t find out who. I c...

I wasn’t sure when I passed out. I only remember leaving the stadium before everything went dark.

When I said I was just about out of Psyka, I had meant it. Why else would I resort to boxing Ponteck Gulliard? I couldn’t even summon a pistol at that point.

But my mind didn’t need energy for my body to work. At that point, I just needed to stay lucid, which was easier since my mind was still powerful. The dregs of energy it pulled in even on empty was enough to keep me awake a...

Umara’s eyes flittered open, her chest throbbing from the exertion of her mana core.

Talexia, her mother, was right beside her bed when she looked over, sitting there and observing her.

“How are you feeling?”

“...Like shit.”

“You really are speaking more and more like your boyfriend.”

“Is there anything else I should be prepared for? Any more surprises like fire magic?”

“That wasn’t magic. And yes, I suppose I should discuss something with you. Later though.”

The Puppet Master came to me in a staging room just for me. Umara was sill in the medical room recovering. As for me, I hadn’t expended much while cooking Ravon.

However, cooking my enemies with fire was the elast of my worries. Something like that was easy to use against knights since th...

The first participants to go would be the warlocks and knights. They would proceed with their battles in a normal fashion, which each knight facing their respective warlock based on their placement. This would be occurring for positions 1-3.

Since the summoner battle was taken care of early and Ponteck now won by default, the final warlock battle would be the one and only battle taking place today.

It was delayed by another few hours so people could gather. And once the stadium was full, Umara was up to bat.

I massaged her shoulders while we stood on the sideline. There were tens of thousands of eyes on us, including some powerful ones. I also knew that the Duchess was here.

I didn’t care about all them though...

Ignatius Verga smiled as the Puppet Master entered the residence, a rich but modestly sized abode toward the outskirts of the capitol.

They both entered a guest room where Willow Verga was waiting on a couch. She was dressed nicely but casually given the late hour.

After they all sat down, the Puppet Master spoke.

So I got mega sick the night after my last final, but I'm over the worst of it now and will be getting back tomorrow. I can't dump 5 chapters but I'll be picking up the pace since I have all this free time and can actually look at my screen without my eyes feeling like they're melting.  Look forward to tomorrow.

Cheers!

American Isekai - Chapter 118

Both Tana and Feiden eventually passed out in the medical room. Both of them were treated and allowed to sleep and recuperate.

Knights recovered best while sleeping, as did all humans. But the effects for them were exaggerated. With some potent recovery pills in their system, their wounds healed at an almost visible rate. When I zoomed in with my eyes, I could actually see their flesh churn within the wounds, blood clotting and new batches of cells being generated by the second.

As Max promised, every opponent I faced in the arena forfeited their battles. I just had to show up so they could do so.

Because of that, my days were easy. There was a week of division battles and I didn’t have anything to do for any of them. My energy wasn’t spent and thus I was able to spend my free time training.

None of my training deviated from what I had already been doing, including training my Aura. It didn’t take much energy on the part of my knights who were respo...

There were only a few more days before the first battles started. I continued to train with the Puppet Master and his knightly puppets so that in the event something didn’t work out, I would still have some insurance against a knight. I didn’t know how good Ponteck’s Aura was, but I couldn’t bank on it being worse than mine. I had to prepare as if he were simply better.

Then again, if his Aura were better than mine, then I cou...

The next day of training came, and I was back to facing warlocks.

The night before, I had discussed some things with Umara, getting her insight on the best way to fight warlocks. She provided me with some weaknesses as well as the thought process behind their decision making.

Warlocks had weak bodies just like summoners. The only reason they weren’t seen as that weak though was because unlike summoners, their magic could actually protect them. But this meant that all warlocks we...
