I know there were a couple of folks wondering if I was gonna do more with King, and those people were in fact, CORRECT!
I wanted to make this for a while and I finally sat down today and got to work! It was fun to figure out honestly, and I like the rolls on him! Feels nice.
(Also, the markings on his elbows are a part of the hand markings that he usually has, I just have them go up a bit higher in my sprite.)
I really really like dubbawide's art, their Zangief x Honda stuff is so sweet! So naturally I had to pull this together this morning as a tribute to his work.
Genuinely, the alt was an afterthought, I had Zangief in bootyshorts on the brain first and foremost lmao

I've fancied this dude for aaaages, and today I finally got around to doing something with him. I had an entirely different palette while creating the sprite than what I needed for the final sprite, but I liked it so much that I just saved both.

This is basically just a love letter to the Goemon series of video games, and this oddy love-able character from them. I always read this guy as being bisexual, because this man is fruity as all-get-out despite being a ladies' man.
Also. Please play the Goemon games, any way you can. Just about all of them are really nice. Konami needs to make a damn collection.
